Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has dealt with his share of injuries dating back to his rookie season, but 2024 was particularly difficult.

Walker missed six games due to oblique and ankle injuries, marking more games missed than in his first two seasons combined. This season he’s been available and started every regular season game. However, that doesn’t mean the injury concerns have gone away.

The Seattle Seahawks’ second injury report for their prime time showdown with the Washington Commanders has been released, and it’s lengthy.

Seattle’s wide receiver room is banged up, with Jake Bobo popping up on the injury report was a limited participant due to an Achilles issue. Cooper Kupp was a full participant on Wednesday with heel and hamstring injuries, but dropped to limited for Thursday. Lastly, Dareke Young could be an injured reserve candidate after a second day without practicing. Young hurt his quad in the win over the Houston Texans two weeks ago.

The trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and for fans across the NFL that means dreaming of their favorite team swinging for the fences and absolutely hitting it out of the park.

That is exactly what John Schneider has done in each of the past two seasons, adding Leonard Williams and Ernest Jones in 2023 and 2024, and this year fans are hoping for help at guard or receiver. With the month of October basically over and just one game to play, the NFL just announced its monthly awards, and one of those awards has gone to a Seattle Seahawks superstar.

The NFC Offensive Player of the Month was given to third-year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. This cannot be too much of a surprise given how dominant Smith-Njigba has been recently. In the three October games the Seahawks played, Smith-Njigba hauled in 24 catches for 417 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Smith-Njigba had at least eight catches, 100 receiving yards, and a touchdown in each of those games.

We kind of got that with Devon Witherspoon practicing fully and Derick Hall listed as a limited participant. We’re entering the second part of the 2025 Seattle Seahawks regular season, having raced out to an impressive 5-2 start before their Week 8 bye. One of the biggest developments for Seattle has been the performance of the passing offense, which ranks No. 2 in FTN’s DVOA and is tearing up the entire NFL with explosive plays. Just when it looked like the Seattle Seahawks secondary would be whole again, there’s been another bump in the road.

On Wednesday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald announced that the team was considering placing free safety Julian Love on injured reserve. Love has been inactive for the last several weeks due to a hamstring injury, having last appeared in the Seahawks’ 23-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals back in Week 4.
