Kenneth Walker still dealing with lingering effects from 2024 ankle injury

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has dealt with his share of injuries dating back to his rookie season, but 2024 was particularly difficult.

Walker missed six games due to oblique and ankle injuries, marking more games missed than in his first two seasons combined. This season he’s been available and started every regular season game. However, that doesn’t mean the injury concerns have gone away.

In an interview with Field Gulls’ Bryce Coutts on The Hawks Eye podcast, Seahawks reporter and Tacoma News Tribune columnist Gregg Bell went a little bit deeper into the managing of Walker’s workload...

Seahawks Week 9 Thursday injury report: Cooper Kupp downgraded to limited

Seahawks Week 9 Thursday injury report: Cooper Kupp downgraded to limited

The Seattle Seahawks’ second injury report for their prime time showdown with the Washington Commanders has been released, and it’s lengthy.

Seattle’s wide receiver room is banged up, with Jake Bobo popping up on the injury report was a limited participant due to an Achilles issue. Cooper Kupp was a full participant on Wednesday with heel and hamstring injuries, but dropped to limited for Thursday. Lastly, Dareke Young could be an injured reserve candidate after a second day without practicing. Young hurt his quad in the win over the Houston Texans two weeks ago.

Neither Julian Love nor Eric Saubert...

Ravens at Dolphins live discussion: Lamar Jackson returns

Ravens at Dolphins live discussion: Lamar Jackson returns

The last time the Baltimore Ravens played the Miami Dolphins, they hammered Miami 56-19 on their way to clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Their defensive coordinator? None other than Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald.

This season, the Ravens have looked more likely to allow 56 than 19, although last week they held the Chicago Bears to 16 points in a 30-16 upset win. Tyler Huntley started that game in place of the injured Lamar Jackson, and now the two-time MVP is back in action. The Ravens are 2-5 and ordinarily that’s a season killer, but they’re...

Insider: Seahawks unlikely to trade Tariq Woolen

Insider: Seahawks unlikely to trade Tariq Woolen

The trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and for fans across the NFL that means dreaming of their favorite team swinging for the fences and absolutely hitting it out of the park.

That is exactly what John Schneider has done in each of the past two seasons, adding Leonard Williams and Ernest Jones in 2023 and 2024, and this year fans are hoping for help at guard or receiver. In addition, some fans have hoped that the Seahawks might add to their 2026 draft capital by moving players whose contracts are set to expire after the season, including fourth-year corner back...

How the notable free agent offensive linemen have performed in 2025

How the notable free agent offensive linemen have performed in 2025

During the run-up to free agency, we brought in some players who could bolster the Seattle Seahawks, especially in the OL, which has always been the team’s most contested unit. John Schneider decided not to sign anyone of note; only Josh Jones, who arrived as a backup.

Let’s take as a starting point the play of Seahawks right guard Anthony Bradford, who is undoubtedly the most vulnerable piece in the OL.

Anthony Bradford:

  • 7 starts;
  • 2nd-worst in pass-block grade;
  • 26th-worst in run-block grade;
  • 6th-worst in offensive grade;
  • 11th-worst in pressures allowed;
  • 23rd-worst in pressures...

Jaxon Smith-Njigba wins NFC Offensive Player of the Month

Jaxon Smith-Njigba wins NFC Offensive Player of the Month

With the month of October basically over and just one game to play, the NFL just announced its monthly awards, and one of those awards has gone to a Seattle Seahawks superstar.

The NFC Offensive Player of the Month was given to third-year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. This cannot be too much of a surprise given how dominant Smith-Njigba has been recently. In the three October games the Seahawks played, Smith-Njigba hauled in 24 catches for 417 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Smith-Njigba had at least eight catches, 100 receiving yards, and a touchdown in each of those games.

Seahawks expected to face Jayden Daniels, but won’t face Terry McLaurin

It’s been far too long since a Seattle sports team got on the field, but the Seattle Seahawks are just a few days from kicking off the second half of their season.

As they head out to Washington to face the Commanders on Sunday night, their opponents are headed towards a swap of their star wide receiver in exchange for their star quarterback.

It is confirmed WR Terry McLaurin is out; and presumed QB Jayden Daniels is in.

Not exactly sure whether this is an improvement for Washington or not; at least not this year. If I had to pick...

Pre-Snap Reads 10/30: How do Seahawks operate w/out Julian Love?

In Today’s Links: the possibilities are multiple, but we may have the horses to support Julian Love’s absence. Our Seattle Seahawks have been doing alright, so far. How much longer can they sustain success without one of their main dudes? Also in the links today, a Ty Okada profile, how Coach Macdonald has schemed his defense to one of the NFL’s best, injury report news (of course), trade deadline talk, a few previews of the big SNF match-up against the Washington Commanders, and more! Seahawks Week 9 Wednesday injury report: Julian Love among 3 sitting out practice

Seahawks Week 9 Wednesday injury report: Julian Love among 3 sitting out practice

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a bye week, so you would expect a healthier injury report. We kind of got that with Devon Witherspoon practicing fully and Derick Hall listed as a limited participant. Christian Haynes was a full participant, as was Robbie Ouzts, after their practice windows were opened to return from IR. Ouzts was specifically mentioned by Mike Macdonald as a possibility to play on Sunday night against the Washington Commanders.

In not-so-good injury news, Julian Love re-injured his hamstring and is now a candidate for IR. Ditto for Dareke Young. Eric Saubert also was held out...

The Seahawks Syndicate: Should Seattle add another weapon on offense?

The Seahawks Syndicate: Should Seattle add another weapon on offense?

We’re entering the second part of the 2025 Seattle Seahawks regular season, having raced out to an impressive 5-2 start before their Week 8 bye. One of the biggest developments for Seattle has been the performance of the passing offense, which ranks No. 2 in FTN’s DVOA and is tearing up the entire NFL with explosive plays. Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have been the league’s best quarterback-wide receiver combo, but we have seen the likes of Cooper Kupp, Elijah Arroyo, Tory Horton, and A.J. Barner get in on the explosive play fun.

And yet, there’s room for improvement. The...

Julian Love may be placed on injured reserve following latest setback

Julian Love may be placed on injured reserve following latest setback

Just when it looked like the Seattle Seahawks secondary would be whole again, there’s been another bump in the road.

On Wednesday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald announced that the team was considering placing free safety Julian Love on injured reserve. Love has been inactive for the last several weeks due to a hamstring injury, having last appeared in the Seahawks’ 23-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals back in Week 4.

The 27-year-old suffered a setback with his hamstring and was unable to appear in Wednesday’s practice as a result. Macdonald has said that Seattle may be moving Love...
