Eagles-Cowboys Film Review: Jalen Hurts seemed to be hampered by the sun

Eagles-Cowboys Film Review: Jalen Hurts seemed to be hampered by the sun

All-22 analysis from Philadelphia’s Week 10 win.

Well, this Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys game was a bit of a weird one to analyze. I wasn’t too impressed with the offensive game plan, and I’ll explain why below, but there is no doubt the offense improved as the game went on.

Offense

The Cowboys did a few things schematically that the Eagles last had to deal with a while ago. Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer showed a lot of “Double Mug” looks with his linebackers standing in both A-gaps. Zimmer is known for this, and I expected the Eagles...

The Dallas Stars Outscored the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Stars Outscored the Dallas Cowboys

At Cowboys Reddit, it’s noted that the hockey team scored more than the football team:

Out scored by the Stars

There’s a post a little further down that proclaims Brandon Aubrey the “best weapon on the team.” Reddit user “Lost_Interest3122” wonders “if he could make a 68-70 yarder, the way they are playing he might have to.” Seems like only a half joke. They should indeed try Aubrey from 68 just to see what happens.

Credit to the Dallas fans, who are responding to their pitiful season with comedy. Some more great pulls from r/Cowboys:

Eagles held Cowboys and Giants to NFL’s only games this season with under 50 passing yards - PFT
Those are the only two times all season that an NFL offense has finished with fewer than 50 net passing yards. The combination of the Eagles’ stout defense and the Giants’ and Cowboys’ offensive incompetence led to stats that you just don’t see in the modern NFL. In fact, they were numbers that no one has ever seen in NFL history: Only two teams ever have completed...

Eagles rookie report card: A new red zone weapon

Eagles rookie report card: A new red zone weapon

Philadelphia’s promising 2024 NFL Draft class was on display in Dallas.

The Eagles absolutely housed the Cowboys to improve to 7-2 on the season while taking control of the NFC East. It was a dominant performance in all phases, but the rookies really were impressive.

Quinyon Mitchell: A

While the Dallas quarterbacks didn’t exactly challenge the Eagles secondary in a significant way, the rookie DBs still played absolutely great football. Mitchell continued his dominant rookie season, locking up the perimeter of the Eagles defense while getting two impressive PBUs.

Cooper DeJean: A

Monday Night Football: Dolphins vs. Rams

Watch MNF live with us!

The final game of Week 10 will be a Monday Night Football contest between the Miami Dolphins (2-6) on the road against the Los Angeles Rams (4-4).

The Dolphins lead the all-time series between these teams, 12-2, and have won 11 of the 12 most-recent meetings. They last faced off back in 2020, when the Dolphins got a home win in Miami, 28-17.

It’s be a weird season for the Dolphins, who just a year ago were at the top of the league. QB Tua Tagovailoa is back after taking several weeks to recover from...

Eagles issue estimated injury report ahead of Commanders game

The latest news on Philadelphia and Washington.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their first official injury report on Monday in advance of their Week 11 home game against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.

Note that this report is an estimation because the team held a walkthrough in lieu of a normal practice.

The Eagles listed four players under DID NOT PARTICIPATE: DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Darius Slay, and Nakobe Dean.

Smith also missed some time in practice last week due to a hamstring issue. The read here is that the Eagles are especially managing him to help get him...

Eagles at Cowboys: 16 winners, 2 losers, 2 IDKs

Highlight performances from Philadelphia’s Week 10 win.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 7-2 after beating the Dallas Cowboys.

I don’t care that Dak Prescott (who has stunk this year anyway) wasn’t playing; Eagles wins over the Cowboys shouldn’t be taken for granted. Especially when they haven’t won at AT&T Stadium since 2017.

Time to hand out some winners, losers, and IDKs.

I’m aware it sounds hyperbolic. And, look, I was born in 1991, my memory of watching the Eagles...

Eagles open Jordan Mailata’s 21-day practice window

Philadelphia’s starting left tackle is now eligible to be activated from injured reserve.

The Philadelphia Eagles opened Jordan Mailata’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve on Monday afternoon, according to an official team announcement.

Mailata originally suffered a hamstring injury during the Eagles’ Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles’ starting left tackle was seen walking on crutches after that game and he was later placed on injured reserve.

Now that Mailata has missed four games, he’s eligible to be activated from IR.

The big question is: will he be ready to play in a critical...
