Packers’ “tush push” proposal gets “mixed” reaction from Competition Committee - PFT
The Packers have proposed a rule change that would attack the so-called “tush push.” With the annual league meetings only days away, it’s looking like there’s not nearly enough of a push to get 24 total owners to vote for the proposal. On Tuesday, Mark Maske of the Washington Post posted this on Twitter: “It’s unclear whether the Packers’ proposed ban of the tush push will get the 24 votes among the 32 NFL owners necessary to be approved, source says: ‘Not sure it can get 24.’ The sentiment is mixed on the NFL competition committee about the proposal. The owners meet next week.” Frankly, the fate of the proposal looks more than “unclear.” If the “sentiment” in the Competition Committee is “mixed,” that’s not a good sign for securing a supermajority when it’s time for the owners to vote on the change.

Eagles host Eagles edge rusher on pre-draft visit - BGN
The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting Boston College Eagles edge rusher and Williamstown, New Jersey native Donovan Ezeiruaku on a pre-draft visit, according to a report from SportsRadio 94WIP’s Eliot Shorr-Parks. Ezeiruaku has been a popular mock draft pick for the Birds with their first-round pick at No. 32 overall. He’s the No. 16 prospect ranked by Pro Football Focus and the No. 28 by Daniel Jeremiah.

Round 1, pick 32: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon (6’5, 313). Harmon had a breakout season at Oregon after transferring from Michigan State. In 2024, he had 45 tackles (11 for loss), 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 4 batted passes. He’s quick, powerful, stout, and has good awareness when playing the run. Also, notice his versatility to play up and down the line in the following highlight reel. Although he only had 8.5 career sacks, his natural athleticism is going to eventually translate to better sack production. I don’t love pressures as a stat because it’s so subjective, but he apparently led the NCAA with 55 pressures. If you watch his highlights against Ohio State, for example, he was around the quarterback all day, but was just unable to finish. The Eagles have a clear need on the interior of their defensive line with Milton Williams leaving in free agency.

5 remaining free agents who could be fits for Eagles - NBCSP
DL Calais Campbell. A big theme of the Eagles’ offseason has been getting younger and relying on draft picks … so this move would definitely buck that trend. Campbell is 38 and has already played 17 seasons in the NFL. He’s not a Pro Bowler anymore but Campbell has played every game over the last two years and he has been productive with 11 1/2 combined sacks in 2023 and 2024. Campbell likely wouldn’t cost much (his one-year deal with the Dolphins in 2024...
