Wilson is 36 now, a Pro Bowl replacement in 2024. The Steelers started 10-3, then lost to the Eagles to kick off a five-game skid that ended with a playoff loss against the division rival Baltimore Ravens. Russ ended up playing 11 regular season games and threw for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five picks.
He’ll be much better than the Daniel Jones/Drew Lock/Cutlets slop fest of 2024, but that team isn’t turning the corner anytime soon. They’ve got Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson and Tyrone Tracy are okay, Darius Slayton is back, then some defensive pieces on the other side. But they need help all over the place and now you wonder what they do with the third overall pick. Do they stash Shedeur Sanders for a season? Draft Mason Graham instead? Trade out? We’re all waiting with bated breath to see what the G Men do.
Prediction: 5 wins, 12 losses, miss the playoffs again. Eagles win the NFC East, Washington Commies finish 2nd, Dallas Cowboys 3rd.
The #Giants win total opened at a league-low 3.5 wins over at @ESPNBET. It remains at 3.5 wins after the acquisition of Russell Wilson.
