Apparently the rule banning the Tush Push might have trouble getting the 24 votes it needs next week:

It’s unclear whether the Packers’ proposed ban of the tush push will get the 24 votes among the 32 NFL owners necessary to be approved, source says: “Not sure it can get 24.” The sentiment is mixed on the NFL competition committee about the proposal. The owners meet next week.

Suck it, Packers.

Here’s what I don’t understand:

The Eagles are the best team in the league at running the Tush Push. They have an obvious cheat code in short-yardage situations. Why wouldn’t every team vote to ban this? It makes no sense. The Eagles have a clear competitive advantage over everyone else. This is like voting against Patrick Mahomes being allowed to throw the ball during games. Why would you not want to level the playing field? I was shocked when I saw this tweet. I was expecting it to pass with unanimous approval. Instead they’re actually going to let us continue doing it? That’s nuts. How stupid is every single coach, GM, and owner in the NFL? Why would you let us do something that we’re 92% successful at? Is this some toxic masculinity thing? Are coaches and GMs worried that we’ll find out who voted ‘yes’ and we’ll call them a pussy for the rest of their life? Have Eagles fans bullied the league into catering to us? There has to be some psychological road block that won’t let an alpha like Dan Campbell vote “yes” because he doesn’t want to look like a beta.

I can’t wait for the first Tush Push in Lambeau next year. The Philly Phaithful that travel will be foaming at the mouth the first time the Eagles line up in formation. A.J. Dillon being the pusher will make it even sweeter.
