Ricky White III becomes second Seahawks 2025 draft pick to be waived

Ricky White III becomes second Seahawks 2025 draft pick to be waived

The Seattle Seahawks made three seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Two of those players have been waived, and we’re still TBD on the third.

Following news that running back Damien Martinez would not make Seattle’s initial 53-man roster, ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported that former UNLV wide receiver and special teams ace Ricky White III has also been let go.

White III, who was Seattle’s final pick of the draft, never really made an impact on special teams, in which he shined in college and blocked four punts in his final season at UNLV. He was also unable to...

Seahawks 2025 roster cuts: Seattle waives linebacker Patrick O’Connell

The Seattle Seahawks’ inside linebacker room remains a question mark due to the health of Tyrice Knight and the uncertainty of the depth below Knight and Ernest Jones IV. It was expect that after what appeared to be a good training camp and preseason that Patrick O’Connell would be able to make the initial 53-man roster this year.

Evidently, that’s not the case.

ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported on Tuesday that the Seahawks are waiving O’Connell for the third consecutive season.

O’Connell and Drake Thomas have been the second-team linebackers throughout the offseason and preseason. It should be noted, however, that...

NFL waiver wire explained: Seahawks players subject to the process

The Seattle Seahawks have 60 players who could be subject to waivers as they look to cut down from 90 players to 53 by the August 26 deadline and beyond.

Of course, several players on their rookie contracts should be safe from getting waived, such as cornerback Devon Witherspoon and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. But, if any of these players are waived this week, they will be subject to the waiver wire pool and can be claimed by another team.

If not, they can be a part of Seattle’s 16-man practice squad, which will likely be finalized the day after...

Seahawks have longest odds to win the NFC West

Another fork in the road lays before us. The divergence of opinions concerning the Seattle Seahawks has created an opportunity. Do you believe?

Despite what looks to be an improved offensive line, and what objectively is a noteworthy defense, the betting odds are still woefully unimpressed with the Seahawks chances this year.

In fact! FanDuel Sportsbook has Seattle at the worst odds to win the NFC West. At +500, they find themselves behind every one of their rivals, even the Arizona Cardinals at +400.

It’s been a relatively quiet preseason for the Seahawks, whom compared to their NFC West rivals,...

Mike Macdonald: Seahawks are ‘going to have plays’ for Jalen Milroe in regular season

After a camp and preseason in which Jalen Milroe was almost exclusively playing with what would be constituted as the third-string offense, the Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback will be a part of the first-team offense in some capacity during the regular season.

Speaking with media after Monday’s practice, head coach Mike Macdonald was straightforward with Seattle’s plan for Milroe in the regular season.

“We’re going to have plays for Jalen and game plans, and he’s going to rep those of the ones,” Macdonald said. “However we build the package for him going into games, he needs those reps in walk-through...

Mike Macdonald provides several Seahawks injury updates

The Seattle Seahawks returned to the practice field on Monday, otherwise known as the eve of league-wide roster cutdowns from 90 players to 53. Head coach Mike Macdonald’s media availability session provided some (emphasis on some) information on injured players, but firmer timelines were not given. Here’s a rundown of what Macdonald said.

Christian Haynes timetable remains TBD

The second-year guard has a very uncertain future after not winning the starting right guard job over Anthony Bradford this offseason. He had a pec issue at the start of August that cost him a couple of practices, and it...

NFL roster cuts 2025: Seahawks reportedly waive 3 players

As usual, the Seattle Seahawks have kept it fairly tight regarding roster cuts ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, but we are getting some news of players placed on waivers.

After nothing was announced on Sunday, NFL insider Aaron Wilson and longtime ESPN Seahawks columnist Brady Henderson reported on Monday that undrafted rookies Alphonzo Tuputala, Seth Coleman, and Luke Felix-Fualalo have been let go.

None of these moves was made official by the team in Monday’s NFL transaction wire, so all of the roster cuts will be processed on Tuesday.

Tuputala was a preseason addition to the Seahawks, who were in need...

Happy Monday to yall! Tomorrow is going to be an interesting afternoon, as our Seattle Seahawks set their initial roster for the 2025 season. Seems like there are not going to be a lot of surprises (although, you never know) regarding the team’s make-up. Post-game live stream: Seahawks-Packers takeaways and a final 53-man projection

We’ve had a day to digest the mostly indigestible Seattle Seahawks preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers. It wasn’t an ideal starting debut for rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe, who was under siege frequently and also lost three fumbles, but he did throw a touchdown to Cody White and had other good plays throughout the game. There was also a major injury scare when Jake Bobo suffered a concussion on a punt return, but it sounds like it’s not as bad as it could’ve been.

Next up for the Seahawks is cutting the roster down to 53 players. Who stays,...

The Seahawks have chosen a starting center

The Seahawks have chosen a starting center

One of the key hot button topics for fans of the Seattle Seahawks all offseason was the offensive line, and how the team would go about looking to improve upon the performance of the group in 2025 after a disastrous 2024.

Many had hopes and dreams of a big splash in free agency, while others thought the team would deploy its ample cap space and utilize draft capital to improve the group.

Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic was one of the first to posit that the team would likely steer clear of free agency, and that is exactly what ended...
