On athletic profile alone, Charles Grant is an ideal schematic for for Rick Dennison’s Las Vegas Raiders offensive line.
The wide-zone system that the crafty veteran offensive line coach is installing in the desert requires agile, light-footed, and horizontally mobile linemen. Grant, the Silver & Black’s third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (99th overall) out of small-school William & Mary, is a match with his agility, ability to move at 304 pounds, showcasing the requisite lateral quickness and burst to shine in the zone blocking system.
Like Dennison, Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak is a huge proponent of the...

The Raiders 2023 rookie draft class will play potentially their final season for the Las Vegas Raiders this coming year, and after selected 7 rookies the roster currently only holds three in Tre Tucker (3rd round), Michael Mayer (2nd round), and Aidan O’Connell (4th round) though O’Connell’s roster spot is not a guarantee this season. The Raiders haven’t been overly aggressive when it comes to inking their pending free agents to long-term extensions, but they have been very vocal about multiple players they would like to retain and build around.
TE Michael Mayer: Re-Sign
I say re-sign for Mayer, but...

We’ve written plenty about the need for a nose tackle and why the slot cornerback in nickel alignments is vital for Rob Leonard’s Las Vegas Raiders defense. A lot of the success (or lack thereof) the Silver & Black will have defensively hinges on those two key position groups.
But much of Leonard’s aspirations hinges on Ronell Williams’ linebackers.
Williams, who is now the Raiders linebackers coach after spending there seasons on the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff (2023-25), brings nifty credentials to the desert. He initially served as the nickel cornerbacks coach in 2023 before moving to assistant linebackers coach...

The Las Vegas Raiders offensive line was one of the worst in the league in 2025. It has been a topic of discussion during the offseason, with the plan to draft a QB. Rick Dennison was brought in to lead the group back to competence. It led the team to sign Tyler Linderbaum to a record-breaking deal for a Center to upgrade the group.
In the draft, they selected Trey Zuhn III to provide depth to the group. However, one reason for the struggles was the absence of Kolton Miller. The Raiders lost him for the season after a great...

Taron Johnson’s reported contract impasse with the Las Vegas Raiders bears watching.
While these type of things do occur on the business side of football, Johnson’s absence is minor as the Silver & Black embarked on offseason team activities (OTAs). All teams have 10 sessions of this nature and no live contact is allowed.
Where it becomes a bigger concern is if Johnson’s impasse extends through the mandatory minicamp which is slated from June 9 to 11 — where contact is allowed and that physicality separates roster contenders and pretenders.
Acquired from the Buffalo Bills via trade earlier this offseason,...

OTAs are underway for the Las Vegas Raiders, as we’re at the very beginning stages of Klint Kubiak’s coaching staff evaluating the roster. Of course, we still have a while before training camp and are a long way away from the 53-man cutdown day, but this is the NFL where no one is safe and plenty of roster moves can happen between now and the start of camp. On that note, let’s get into this week’s mailbag.
**Q: I see a lot of people seem to be downplaying Darien Porter as if they don’t expect too much from him. I...

It’s been exactly a month since the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, and new Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jermod McCoy’s injury has been a hot topic of discussion ever since. However, we still don’t really know what McCoy’s status is for this season and beyond. It’s been reported that the Tennessee product will likely need a second surgery that could threaten his career, but it seems like the entire situation is still very much up in the air.
The ambiguity is what caused McCoy, who was widely considered a top-15 talent heading into last month’s draft, to fall...

While we’ve known the Las Vegas Raiders’ opponents for next season for a while now, oftentimes, when they play certain clubs matters just as much as who they play. Having to face reigning playoff teams is a lot more difficult if the games are back-to-back versus being spread out throughout the season.
Now that we have the Raiders’ 2026 schedule, let’s take an early look at the toughest stretches on it and see where this young team will face its toughest battles and have a chance to prove itself.

Takeaways are a key aspect for any NFL team. The ability to get the be ball back for the offense is often a deciding factor in winning football games.
Those kind of impact, game-altering plays aren’t relegated to just defense, however.
Football is a three phase game and while offense and defense get a lot of attention — rightfully so — special teams is an integral aspect. All eyes will be on Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak and his offense, Rob Leonard and his defense, but pay attention to Joe DeCamllis’ his special teams units, too.

When the Las Vegas Raiders added former Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. to the roster in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL draft, the expectation wasn’t that Washington would supplant 2025 first-round pick Ashton Jeanty as the Raiders’ lead back. Instead, the thought was that the two running backs would split the workload to take some of the pressure off of Jeanty’s shoulders.
However, it sounds like that isn’t the ideal situation for new head coach and offensive play caller Klint Kubiak.
“We want to put a lot of pressure on Ashton,” Kubiak said during his post-practice...
