Raiders fans want Aidan O’Connell on 53-man roster

We will see if Aidan O’Connell will remain in the quarterback room for the Las Vegas Raiders this season when the 53-man roster is set.

But many Raiders’ fans believe the fourth-year player will, indeed, be part of the squad as we asked in a FEED post poll recently.

He has been the subject of trade speculation all offseason and the reasoning is obvious. There is no apparent future for the 2023 fourth-round pick with the franchise. The long-term future, of course, is No. 1 overall pick, rookie Fernando Mendoza and the immediate future may be veteran free-agent addition Kirk...

Raiders need to get closer to league punting average

Raiders need to get closer to league punting average

Yes, AJ Cole is a sublime punting talent and he’s fun to watch.

But we need to see him play less this season. The average number of punts in an NFL game is down acr0ss the league. But not in Las Vegas.

A recent post on X by NFL analyst (and former Raiders’ employee) Ryan Paganetti shows that the average number of punts per team is way down. The league average in 2025 was 3.58 punts per game.

The Raiders among the league leaders with a 4.29 per game punting average. One of the reasons why Klint Kubiak was hired...

Jalen Nailor’s performance will be good barometer of Klint Kubiak

Jalen Nailor’s performance will be good barometer of Klint Kubiak

As the chief offensive play caller, how Klint Kubiak maximizes wide receiver Jalen Nailor will say a lot about the head coach’s prowess.

Inking a three-year, $35.03 million contract, with $23 million guaranteed ($18 million at signing) with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Silver & Black paid a pretty penny to bring the Nevada native back home. While it was far from top of the market coin for the wideout, the $11.67 million per year average is quite steep for a receiver that’s never eclipsed 445 yards receiving in his four-year stint in the NFL thus far.

Those contract numbers...

The Technique & Analytics of Rob Leonard’s Las Vegas Raiders Defense

The Technique & Analytics of Rob Leonard’s Las Vegas Raiders Defense

The Las Vegas Raiders are shifting to a 3-4 base defense, though I doubt they will be sitting out of base defense for most of the season, and if that if they will even be in the 3-4 system all that often. Matt Holder recently published an article breaking down the plan for Rob Leonard and I highly suggest taking a look at such. Leonard has preached fundamentals on defense, but he’s also preached a few other key tones aggression, attack, pursuit, and communication.

While every defense has preached such, the biggest is execution on defense. Leonard should be aggressive...

Revisiting the drafting of Brock Bowers

Revisiting the drafting of Brock Bowers

Tom Telesco had pretty uneventful one-year stint as the general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders before he was ousted in 2025.

But Telesco will always have a fingerprint on the franchise because he was the guy who brought Brock Bowers to Las Vegas. Bowers has a chance to go down as an all-time great Raiders and one of the best tight ends to ever play. Yes, I feel comfortable making those claims after just two seasons. Bowers is simply a brilliant player or as his new coach, Klint Kubiak says, he’s a football robot from heaven.

So, Telesco deserves...

Is it time to worry about Fernando Mendoza and Jermod McCoy being unsigned?

Is it time to worry about Fernando Mendoza and Jermod McCoy being unsigned?

The Las Vegas Raiders rookies report to training camp in 15 days and yet two of their 10 member 2026 draft class remain unsigned.

Las Vegas has yet to sign first-round pick (and No. 1 overall choice) quarterback Fernando Mendoza and fourth-round pick, cornerback Jermod McCoy. There are currently less than 10 unsigned draft pick around the league and two of them are Raiders.

Is it a problem? No, not at the moment and it likely will resolve itself soon.

Draft pick holdouts have become pretty rare around the league since the 2011 CBA agreement. They still do happen, but...

Will Raiders rookie Treydan Stukes start Week 1?

Will Raiders rookie Treydan Stukes start Week 1?

The Las Vegas Raiders made a ton of moves to improve the defense for 2026. Defense has been an issue for the Raiders for the last 24 seasons with the team struggling to find a consistent defensive unit to hit the field.

One of the players added was Treydan Stukes out of univeristy of Arizona. The Raiders loved Stukes versatility and...

Can Raiders’ new kicker deliver the long bomb?

Can Raiders’ new kicker deliver the long bomb?

One of the biggest storylines for the Las Vegas Raiders when training camp begins later this month will be the kicking battle between newly signed veteran Matt Gay and undrafted rookie Kansei Matsuzawa.

The battle will play out in both training camp and in the three preseason games as they battle to replace Daniel Carlson. One key aspect of the battle will be which kicker will the most success while attempting long field goals. Kickers across the league are converting field-goal attempts of 55-plus yards at a rate never seen before as illustrated recently by former Raiders’ employee Ryan Paganetti....

Where do new Las Vegas Raiders linebackers Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker rank in AFC West?

Where do new Las Vegas Raiders linebackers Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker rank in AFC West?

Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders’ roster had a glaring weakness at linebacker, hence the signing of veterans Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker during free agency. The Raiders shelled out over $75 million in total contract value between those two to fix the defense’s problem, but is that enough for the defense to have a pair of Top 5 second-level defenders in the AFC West? Let’s see how Las Vegas’ duo compares to the Denver Broncos’, Kansas City Chiefs’ and Los Angeles Chargers’ backers.

All stats referenced below are from the regular season unless otherwise noted.

1. Daiyan Henley,...

2025 Las Vegas Raiders Same Position Re-Draft

2025 Las Vegas Raiders Same Position Re-Draft

The Raiders 2025 draft class only has played one season, so identifying which players could or could not be replaced here is a little bit different than my previous editions. Players have either under, or over performed and plenty of players are still developing after being selected as pure developmental prospects. Ashton Jeanty is a staple of the Raiders offense, and looking back was a runningback the right pick, most likely not, but he’ll remain a focal point of the Klint Kubiak offense, beyond that we will see the rest.

A fun idea I had was a re-draft, but not...
