But we need to see him play less this season. The average number of punts in an NFL game is down acr0ss the league. But not in Las Vegas.

A recent post on X by NFL analyst (and former Raiders’ employee) Ryan Paganetti shows that the average number of punts per team is way down. The league average in 2025 was 3.58 punts per game.

As the chief offensive play caller, how Klint Kubiak maximizes wide receiver Jalen Nailor will say a lot about the head coach’s prowess.

Inking a three-year, $35.03 million contract, with $23 million guaranteed ($18 million at signing) with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Silver & Black paid a pretty penny to bring the Nevada native back home. While it was far from top of the market coin for the wideout, the $11.67 million per year average is quite steep for a receiver that’s never eclipsed 445 yards receiving in his four-year stint in the NFL thus far.

The Las Vegas Raiders are shifting to a 3-4 base defense, though I doubt they will be sitting out of base defense for most of the season, and if that if they will even be in the 3-4 system all that often. Tom Telesco had pretty uneventful one-year stint as the general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders before he was ousted in 2025.

But Telesco will always have a fingerprint on the franchise because he was the guy who brought Brock Bowers to Las Vegas. Bowers has a chance to go down as an all-time great Raiders and one of the best tight ends to ever play. Yes, I feel comfortable making those claims after just two seasons. Bowers is simply a brilliant player or as his new coach, Klint Kubiak says, he’s a football robot from heaven.

The Las Vegas Raiders rookies report to training camp in 15 days and yet two of their 10 member 2026 draft class remain unsigned.

Las Vegas has yet to sign first-round pick (and No. 1 overall choice) quarterback Fernando Mendoza and fourth-round pick, cornerback Jermod McCoy. There are currently less than 10 unsigned draft pick around the league and two of them are Raiders.

Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders’ roster had a glaring weakness at linebacker, hence the signing of veterans Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker during free agency. The Raiders 2025 draft class only has played one season, so identifying which players could or could not be replaced here is a little bit different than my previous editions. Players have either under, or over performed and plenty of players are still developing after being selected as pure developmental prospects.
