Report: Patriots Lose Running Back For Season Against Bills

The New England Patriots’ offense suffered a blow on Sunday in their 23-20 win over the Buffalo Bills.

According to Adam Schefter, running back Antonio Gibson suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

Gibson was injured while returning a kick during the second quarter of Sunday’s game. He left the game and did not return.

The veteran has been the team’s top return man and third running back this season. He’s averaging 4.2 yards per carry, the highest mark on the team. Pro Football Focus also grades Gibson as the team’s best pass-blocking running back....

Stefon Diggs Snaps Franchise Drought In Patriots’ Statement Win

Stefon Diggs is starting to look awfully comfortable in the New England Patriots’ offense.

After amassing 101 receiving yards in a breakout game against the Carolina Panthers, Diggs one-upped himself on primetime. The wide receiver caught 10 of 12 targets for 146 yards in Sunday’s 23-20 win over his former team, the Buffalo Bills.

With that momentous outing, Diggs accomplished a feat for the first time in the post-Tom Brady era. Diggs became the first Patriots player to record 100 receiving yards in consecutive games since Julian Edelman in 2019.

Returning from an ACL tear that ended his 2024 campaign...

Candid Nick Saban Blasts Bill Belichick’s Handling Of Mac Jones

Mac Jones is authoring his comeback story in San Francisco — and one of his former coaches is loving it.

Jones went 3-0 the last three weeks while filling in for injured San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. The often-maligned Jones completed 66.7% of his passes while throwing six touchdowns and just one interception, and looked much more like the player he was during his rookie season with the Patriots.

Speaking of Jones’ time in New England, his former head coach at Alabama, Nick Saban, recently offered surprisingly candid thoughts on how Bill Belichick handled the 2021 first-round pick. Saban...

Why Patriots’ Mike Vrabel Has Stuck With Rhamondre Stevenson Despite Fumbles

Why Patriots’ Mike Vrabel Has Stuck With Rhamondre Stevenson Despite Fumbles

Rhamondre Stevenson recovered from a recurring turnover issue to help the New England Patriots secure a massive win on Sunday night.

Mike Vrabel didn’t abandon the running back after he lost his third fumble of the season to start New England’s second drive. Stevenson led the backfield in snaps (31) and scored two goal-line touchdowns in a 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.

During Monday morning’s weekly radio interview on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” Vrabel was asked why he remains confident in Stevenson despite his fumbles. Vrabel explained why he keeps playing the 27-year-old.

“We go...

Fan Notes from the Patriots’ 23-20 win over the Bills

Fan Notes from the Patriots’ 23-20 win over the Bills

Just like we all predicted.

The New England Patriots just went into Buffalo and beat the best team in the AFC in primetime. Everyone definitely saw this one coming.

1. Let’s start this out with some of my patented turd in the punchbowlery and get it out of the way, because these are the kind of wins where you should be maximizing your enjoyment and happiness and not go all Art Smith on New England’s light display.

2. The Bills did themselves no favors last night. Costly turnovers, uninspired playcalling, poor tackling, and overall lousy play, not to mention a...

Stefon Diggs Blows Off Patriots PR During Wild Post-Win Instagram Live

Stefon Diggs might get called into Mike Vrabel’s office this week — and not for a good reason.

The Patriots receiver posted 10 catches for 146 yards against his former team on Sunday when New England scored a dramatic 23-20 road win over the Buffalo Bills. After the game, Diggs and fellow receiver Kyle Williams both broadcast on Instagram Live while inside the Patriots locker room. And that’s typically a big no-no, as viewers hypothetically could see things meant to be private, like unclothed players walking through the room.

To make matters worse, a Patriots public-relations staffer asked Diggs to...

The Patriots are finally becoming relevant again

The Patriots are finally becoming relevant again

For the better part of two decades, Foxborough, Massachusetts was the epicenter of the NFL. From their home base at Gillette Stadium, the New England Patriots led by future Hall of Famers Bill Belichick and Tom Brady orchestrated an unprecedented run.

And then, it was over. When Brady left in 2020, there was hope the team would find a way to return to its championship days in the near future. When Belichick left in 2024, the franchise was in disrepair from the top down. The Patriots kept not just losing games at an extended rate, they also lost something even...

Bill Simmons Coins New Nickname For Drake Maye After Massive Patriots Win

Sunday’s Week 5 road game against the Buffalo Bills was the biggest game of Drake Maye’s young career thus far, and he delivered.

Facing an undefeated division rival on Sunday Night Football, Maye rose to the occasion, outdueling reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen and guiding the New England Patriots to a 23-20 upset win in the first primetime start of his career.

The second-year quarterback was efficient against one of the best defenses in the NFL, completing 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 273 yards while adding 12 yards on the ground.

Most impressively, he stepped up with the...

Patriots’ Mike Vrabel Comments On Versatile Running Back’s Injury

While the New England Patriots picked up one of their biggest wins in recent memory in Week 5’s “Sunday Night Football” against the Buffalo Bills, they also lost running back Antonio Gibson to a scary-looking knee injury.

Gibson was quickly ruled out after suffering his injury while returning a kickoff in the second quarter of the 23-20 victory.

Head coach Mike Vrabel commented on Gibson’s situation on Monday morning but wasn’t able to provide much of an update yet.

“Mike Vrabel, to ‘The Greg Hill Show’ on status of RB Antonio Gibson (knee): ‘Nothing new to add. He’ll go through...

Watch Mike Vrabel’s Fiery Locker Room Speech After Patriots’ Win Over Bills

Mike Vrabel earned an early signature win by leading the New England Patriots to a monumental 23-20 road upset over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

The Patriots posted footage of Vrabel addressing his team after the Week 5 triumph. Some observers may not have expected New England to take down the NFL’s last remaining undefeated team, but Vrabel told his squad he believed they could defeat their AFC East rivals at Orchard Park.

“I’m happy for you. It’s you. It’s the players,” Vrabel said. “Fellas, you guys go out there and do the (expletive). There’s so much we can...

Josh Allen Shares Honest Take On Bills’ Loss To Patriots In Week 5

Josh Allen Shares Honest Take On Bills’ Loss To Patriots In Week 5

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen believes they beat themselves against the New England Patriots on Sunday in Week 5.

The Bills entered the game with a perfect 4-0 record, but Buffalo’s offense struggled. Buffalo had just three points in the first half and the offense had three turnovers, which Allen wasn’t happy about.

“We just played sloppy,” Allen said postgame. “Not gonna win a football game, turning the ball over three times, in our red zone. Gave them one in their red zone… We shouldn’t have even been in it with three turnovers. So, again, that’s just piss poor offense.”...
