The Giants need young talent at this position
The New York Giants have desperately needed assistance across from Dexter Lawrence since GM Joe Schoen sent Leonard Williams to Seattle. Opposing offenses consistently ran the football at the Giants last season whenever Lawrence needed a breather before his injury. After Lawrence was placed on Injured Reserve, Shane Bowen altered his defense to fix the massive liability created by Lawrence’s departure — the Giants NEED depth on their defensive line.
Schoen signed two veterans this offseason for depth purposes, but I contend that more depth and overall consistency are necessary. The Giants...

Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Some late draft intrigue to be provided by Giants, Sanders
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will hold a final workout for the New York Giants on Thursday in Boulder, Colo., per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Sanders, who could be the second quarterback selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, will work out for a “contingent of officials” from the Giants.
The Giants have the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, but have been expected to pass on Sanders — if available — in favor of Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter or Penn State edge defender Abdul Carter.
The Giants...
Could Golden be the best receiver to come out of this draft?
There’s a perception that the 2025 NFL Draft has a weak wide receiver class.
The reality, however, is that this year’s draft has a good and talented group of receivers, but they have the misfortune of following a fantastically deep and talented class is last year’s draft. The 2025 receiving class has a diverse set of players with a huge variety of traits and skill sets. There might not be many “universal” fits, but this draft will produce plenty of starters.
Texas receiver Matthew Golden has been flying...
Giants continuing learning as much as they can about the QB prospects in the 2025 draft class
NFL Draft prospects are continuing to roll into East Rutherford, N.J. for ‘30’ visits with the New York Giants. The latest eyebrow-raising player to visit is Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, per FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
McCord, who transferred from Ohio State to Syracuse before the 2024 season, is generally considered a mid-round possibility in the draft.
The Giants are known to have hosted quarterbacks Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe and Tyler Shough. They are also said to have spent “[considerable...
We’re looking at potential second- and third-day draft prospects
The New York Giants added a number of veteran players in free agency a year ago who helped stabilize the offensive line, at least while the group was healthy. This year, they have kept the band together by re-signing Greg Van Roten and Aaron Stinnie. They also added help on the fringes with the additions of swing tackle candidates James Hudson III and Stone Forsythe.
What the Giants have not successfully done during Joe Schoen’s tenure as GM is add quality young players to the pipeline. Only one of four offensive...
See if you would give up No. 3 in this scenario
In the many scenario-based 7-round New York Giants mock drafts I have done leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, I have often selected Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart at No. 34 or via trade back into the later stages of the first round.
I think such a move is a reasonable objecting for Giants GM Joe Schoen.
One scenario I never explored in a mock draft was to trade DOWN from No. 3 with the intent of selecting Dart.
For fun over the weekend, I ran a mock...
Should the Giants consider a linebacker?
The linebacker position has long been a sore point for the New York Giants, or at least it was up until the last couple years.
Recently, however, the Giants have fielded one of the better linebacker units in the NFL. But even so, the Giants may see linebacker as a future need. After all, Micah McFadden is heading into the final year of his rookie contract after a breakout season and could depart in free agency.
UCLA’s Carson Schwesinger was one of the best linebackers in the country and coming off of a breakout...
Let’s see how many top-tier players the Giants actually have
The New York Giants are less than two weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft. We want to take an honest look at the Giants’ roster ahead of the draft, using former Washington and 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan’s color-coded scheme, inspired by Mark Tyler’s article at Hogs Haven.
Here’s the color-coded rating system:
Blue - All-Pro/Pro Bowl Player
Red - Quality Starter (a really good football player)
Orange - Average Starter
Yellow - Below Average/Replacement Level
Green - Too New/Incomplete Rating

Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Where will Banks line up in the NFL?
The offensive line wasn’t a problem for the Giants in 2024, at least not until it was ravaged by injuries and depth players were forced onto the field and out of position.
But even before the injury bug hit, feeling was that the line was fine for now and needed long-term answers with several positions being manned by older vets. How they continue to build their line for the long term will be a story to follow throughout the process.
Kelvin Banks out of Texas is one of the more intriguing offensive...
Can the woebegone Giants get on the right track?
The New York Giants goal for the 2025 season is clear: Get better.
Owner John Mara laid down the directive to be better in 2025, and that the patience which kept Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll in their jobs is far from infinite.
After the season he empathized with the fans who had expressed their frustration.
“I didn’t need planes flying over me to tell me how upset the fans are. Nobody is more frustrated and upset than I am,” Mara said. “I appreciate the fact that [the fans] have hung...
