When Jon-Eric Sullivan became the new Miami Dolphins general manager, he made it clear that running back De’Von Achane was going to be one of their building blocks. He stated Achane was not going to be traded and that a contract extension was being worked on. Though that news wasn’t expected until the Dolphins got their salary cap in line, but they surprised us last night. The Dolphins and Achane agreed to a 4-year extension worth $68M, which makes him the third highest paid running back in the league. He has been one of the Dolphins best players over the...

New general manager for the Miami Dolphins — Jon-Eric Sullivan — has been very clear this offseason about his intention to keep running back De’Von Achane in an aqua and orange uniform for the foreseeable future. On Wednesday night, he made good on those intentions — inking the 24-year-old ball-carrier to a new contract that will tie Achane to the Dolphins for an additional four seasons.
According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis Jacques, Achane and the team agreed to terms on a 4-year, $64 million extension ($16 million per year), with bonuses that could push the deal up to $17 million...

We spend a lot of time discussing team needs around here, given that we are all long-suffering Miami Dolphins fans. While the new brain trust in South Florida has done a fairly solid job of filling holes in the team’s roster thus far this offseason, there are still some very obvious needs if they hope to take the next step towards getting this thing back to where it should be.
Given that the Dolphins also enter the 2026-2027 NFL season with one of the league’s most difficult schedules, I would suspect that even if we see solid signs of growth...

The NFL will set a record for most miles traveled by its teams in a season during the 2026 season, thanks in large part to nine international games on this year’s schedule. Following Wednesday’s announcement of the international matchups, Bookies.com’s Bill Speros broke down the mileage each team will travel this season, with the San Francisco 49ers set to eclipse the record for most miles traveled in a single season, coming in at 38,105 miles. San Francisco has games in Australia and Mexico this year, along with their 15 domestic games.
The top five teams traveling the most mileage are...

The National Football League schedule will soon be released, which means we will learn shortly the days and times for each Miami Dolphins contest happening during the 2026 NFL season. One thing we already know for sure is that the boys from South Florida in aqua in and orange will be playing all of their games in the United States this upcoming year.
The Dolphins were heavily rumored to be facing off against the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City in 2026, but that rumor has been debunked as all international games were announced on Wednesday morning, and the Dolphins...

The Miami Dolphins appear set at quarterback after signing Malik Wills this past free agency period. They also added rookie Mark Gronowski after the draft with Quinn Ewers and Cam Miller set to return. But an interesting development could see the Dolphins have a chance at a top prospect. Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby may or may not be entering the NFL supplemental draft. It all depends on the NCAA investigation into his gambling addiction, that he has entered rehab for. From the rumors, teams may have to use a high pick on Sorsby if he were to declare. But...

I suspect it’s human nature. Anyone who comes along in any sport will eventually be compared to someone who has played it before. I don’t know if it’s fair to whoever the current player is, as they are often compared to past greats before playing a single down at the professional level. This would seem to set a ceiling for some of these players that ultimately proves unattainable. This, in turn, may cause a fan base to view the player less favorably than they might otherwise, even if the player proves to be solid despite never reaching the level of...

The Miami Dolphins selected offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea from Arizona with the 37th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft with the idea that he would help solidify a unit that had struggled mightily to protect the team’s quarterbacks over the previous few seasons. Instead, the young player only added to those struggles while starting all 17 games at left guard for the Dolphins last year.
With Miami taking Kadyn Proctor with pick #12 in the 2026 NFL Draft, and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan stating he’ll get an opportunity to start at left guard this year, that left Savaiinaea...

On May 8th, 2026, Miami Dolphins signed undrafted free agent Le’Veon Moss to a 3-year contract. But just four days after doing so, he has chosen to retire from the NFL.
The team announced that they were placing Moss on the reserve/retired list, meaning Moss has chosen to end his NFL career (at least, for now).
Moss was a highly-regarded collegiate prospect in 2025, but an ankle injury against the Florida Gators last October saw him miss the final six games of the season for Texas A&M. Up until that point, Moss had 389 rushing yards and six touchdowns in...

The NFL schedule is set to be released on Thursday, with a made-for-TV event at 8 p.m. Eastern. While all 18 weeks will be made official during the release, there will be leaks, reports, and updates along the way. As we do every year, we will keep up with the latest rumors and possible schedule for the Miami Dolphins up to the release.
We do already know that this year’s schedule will kickoff on Wednesday, September 9, when the Seattle Seahawks, as the defending Super Bowl champion, will host someone in a primetime game on NBC. The opponent has not...

The Miami Dolphins had the largest draft class in the league, with a total of 13 selections. You can make an argument that all 13 of those rookies should make the team and have some role in some capacity. But the Dolphins also added some undrafted players who could be contributors. Edge rusher Mason Reiger has a great chance of making the roster as he was considered a mid-round pick but has an injury history and the edge room isn’t that loaded with talent.
You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.
