The Dolphins rostered the NFL’s leading tackler last season in Jordyn Brooks. The former first round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft had a staggering 183 combined tackles while leading Miami’s defensive unit. After being selected in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft, Kadyn Proctor and Chris Johnson are expected to be immediate starters. Proctor should slide right into the left guard spot while Johnson might just be the Miami Dolphins top cornerback. There are high expectations for Johnson, considering what Jeff Hafley outlined what the team expects of him. Johnson is expected to line up all over the secondary and the new coaching staff believes he will be able to do just that.

National analysts do not have high hopes for the Miami Dolphins this season and they are also not impressed with the supporting cast on offense, mainly the wide receiver unit. The team lacks a true #1 receiver but has plenty of veterans and rookies that could operate as the second option. This offense right now is not built for the passing game and will most likely rely on the run game with De’Von Achane operating as a pass catcher also. Thankfully the Dolphins drafted three rookies who can hopefully rise to the occasion when they are called upon.
