Five Things I Think I Think About the Miami Dolphins – Week 7

Five Things I Think I Think About the Miami Dolphins – Week 7

Which storyline was your favorite?

Unbearable hurricane-like conditions drowning the players in the maelstrom of an untamed sea?

Two left-handed, sub-6-feet-tall Hawaiian quarterbacks facing off in a once-in-a-lifetime showdown?

Opposing teams with orange as a secondary color and matching 1-5 records playing for absolutely nothing other than pride?

It was destined to be one for the ages.

And for the ages ‘twas.

It was such a showing, such a titanic, Herculean, Sisyphian effort on the part of the visitors, that I was practically forced to take all five of my things and condense them into just one singular, solitary, shining...

Fins Up, Fins Down | Week Seven

Fins Up, Fins Down | Week Seven

This hasn’t been a fun season to be a Miami Dolphins fan.

After making the playoffs in Mike McDaniel’s first two seasons as the team’s head coach in 2022 and 2023, and narrowly missing the postseason in 2024 — his third season with the club — the Dolphins find themselves with a 1-6 record after seven games to start the 2025 NFL season.

If the 2026 NFL Draft were to magically start today (would any Dolphins fan object?), they would hold the second overall pick in the selection process, with the New York Jets holding the first pick. Would the...

Tua Tagovailoa to remain Dolphins starting quarterback – The Splash Zone 10/22/25

After getting trounced by the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, plenty of fans and analysts were wondering if the Miami Dolphins would be benching Tua Tagovailoa after another horrible performance. Mike McDaniel silenced those rumors stating that Tua would be starting against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday and the backup would be determined during the week. It’s been a terrible season for the Dolphins and Tua hasn’t helped himself either with his on the field performance and off the field comments.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

Dolphins fans share their ideal replacment(s) if either Grier, McDaniel, or both are let go!

With both Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier continuing to feel their seats get hotter by the day, and fans somewhere between total uproar and just apathy at this point, I asked the following questions last week:

**This evening’s Phinsider Question of the Day is: Who would you like to see potentially replace McDaniel and or Grier, or are you someone who wants to keep either or both? There are many candidates who could take over this organization, both in the front office and on the field. Among the rumored possibilities, which ones would...

I’m here to feed all of you gluttons for punishment. So, go ahead — stick your head in the trough and get yourself a little treat. You deserve it.

No coaching changes expected right now – The Splash Zone 10/21/25

After another miserable loss, Mike McDaniel’s job status was yet again another hot topic of discussion. Many speculated he would be fired yesterday but according to reports there are no changes expected at this moment. The Miami Dolphins have been one of the worst teams in the league this season and it’s thanks to multiple reasons from coaching decisions, player regression, and roster management. McDaniel did hint at some personnel changes that could happen and it would be interesting to see which players he is talking about.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s...

Darren Waller avoids major injury

Darren Waller avoids major injury

Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller played just 16 snaps for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns before exiting the game with a pectoral muscle injury. He did not return to play during that contest.

On Monday afternoon, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter released a report stating Waller avoided major injury and is just suffering from a pectoral strain — an injury that will see Miami’s tight end as “week to week” in regards to his return to play timeline.

Waller was acquired this offseason via trade after the Dolphins sent their 2024 Pro-Bowl tight end Jonnu...

3 Reasons Why – Dolphins continue losing streak, lose to Browns in Week 7

3 Reasons Why – Dolphins continue losing streak, lose to Browns in Week 7

Sigh.

The Miami Dolphins were rolled by the Cleveland Browns in Week 7, losing by a score of 6-31. The scoreline flattered the Dolphins, who put forth arguably their worst performance of the season. The loss marks Miami’s third consecutive loss, and counting.

Here are three reasons why the Dolphins lost in Week 7.

1. Tua’s Worst Game…Ever?

There’s no sugarcoating it. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had one of the worst games of his NFL career against the Browns.

He completed just 12 of 23 passes for 100 yards, threw three interceptions, and posted a 24.1 passer rating, per...

Dolphins make no changes after Week 7 embarrassment

Dolphins make no changes after Week 7 embarrassment

The Miami Dolphins lost to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. A loss in the NFL happens. A 31-6 loss to another 1-5 team is on a different level. The Dolphins were embarrassed throughout the afternoon, with the offense unable to put together a touchdown scoring drive, the defense unable to keep the Browns out of the endzone, and the special teams turning the ball over. All three aspects of the team played like a team that has given up on the season.

On Monday, a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport indicated the Dolphins are not making any major changes...

The Good, Bad & Ugly from the Miami Dolphins Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns

The Good, Bad & Ugly from the Miami Dolphins Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns

You know things are bleak when your team is embarrassed by the Cleveland Browns.

Both teams entered Sunday’s contest with 1-5 records, coached by men who were considered on the “hot seat” by many insiders covering the National Football League. Only one coach had his team prepared to play in what amounted to an Ohio Valley hurricane — and that coach was not named Mike McDaniel.

The Dolphins got their butts handed to them in Cleveland on Sunday — dropping their sixth game of the season, this time by a score of 31-6 to a team that was averaging 13.7...

Dolphins continue to find ways to embarrass themselves – The Splash Zone 10/20/25

If there was ever a time to blow it up, that time would be now. The Miami Dolphins got absolutely humiliated by the Cleveland Browns yesterday and we can only wonder when we will see some changes to this football team. This offensive system is not sustainable when everything has to be perfect for the quarterback due to his limitations. The defense has lost so much talent over the past couple of years and it’s finally come back to bite the team in the butt. It’s probably time for a fresh start in Miami and time to get some new...
