Your Miami Dolphins Draft Pick Comparisons

Your Miami Dolphins Draft Pick Comparisons

Last week, I asked you the following question:

Assuming Jacom Rodriguez is comparable at this point to Zach Thomas (unless you have a better/different comparison for him), what other comparisons would you make for the other players from the Miami Dolphins’ 2026 NFL Draft class? This comparison can be a former Dolphins player or any other NFL player, or, I guess, really anyone.

Below are some of your thougths and answers-

davidson11 does not sound positive at all about the current year’s draft class. davidson11 still seems to need a hug.

Be lucky if there’s one probowler in this...

Dolphins start OTAs as 2026 offseason training program continues

The Miami Dolphins opened their first round of organized team activities, or OTAs, on Monday as the team progressed into phase three of their 2026 offseason training program. The first two phases of the program are focused on film work and individual drills. In phase three, the team can start working on offense versus defense drills and having players practice in helmets and elbow/knee pads.

The Dolphins have nine days of OTAs scheduled out of a possible 10 days. They also have their mandatory minicamp scheduled during this phase, the only event everyone must attend or risk being fined.

What was Mike McDaniel’s plan – The Splash Zone 5/18/26

It seemed like Mike McDaniel was still going to be the Miami Dolphins head coach heading into the 2026 when he survived the first few days after the season had come to an end. But Stephen Ross decided the team needed a clean slate at both general manager and head coach. Former Dolphins tight end, Darren Waller, was meeting with McDaniel when Ross came to deliver the news. Waller was recently in an interview with DraftKings where he revealed what McDaniel’s plan was for the Dolphins. It sounds like he was ready to hand the keys over to QB Quinn...

Miami Dolphins Discussion: Face Of The Team Edition

Miami Dolphins Discussion: Face Of The Team Edition

Every team, be it the NFL, NCAA Football, or any other sport, has one player, a head coach, or even an owner (if you are unfortunate enough to be a Dallas Cowboys fan) who is or becomes the face of the team. For our very own Miami Dolphins, it could be said that it was a player or even head coach, Don Shula, during the glory days of the franchise. For a very long time, it would have been quarterback Dan Marino. Since Marino retired, it has probably changed in the minds of the fans multiple times. Most recently, for...

Miami Dolphins Discussion: Media Perception Edition

Miami Dolphins Discussion: Media Perception Edition

I have discussed this topic in the past, but it’s one of those things that never seems to fade in the minds of Miami Dolphins fans as a whole. As long as websites have been available on the internet, where people have been free to share any opinion they wish for the whole world to see, there has been a long-running complaint from many in our fan base that the media just flat-out disrespects or hates our Dolphins.

Many theories about why this happens center on the fact that most of the national media is based in the northeastern US....

Dolphins 2026 schedule released – The Splash Zone 5/16/26

The NFL released the 2026 schedule last night and we now know who and when the Miami Dolphins will be playing. Hopes aren’t high for the Dolphins this season and the schedule is pretty daunting on paper with zero primetime games. In week 1, the Dolphins will be taking on the Las Vegas Raiders in a battle of new head coaches between Jeff Hafley and Klint Kubiak. Miami is also going to be traveling early at the beginning of the season.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

Tua Tagovailoa will return to Miami for preseason contest against Dolphins

The full 2026 NFL schedule was released on Thursday night — including dates and times for all 17 regular season Miami Dolphins games. However, following that release, the NFL also released preseason schedules for all teams — and a familiar face will be returning to Miami to face-off against the team that made him the #5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was released by the Dolphins this offseason, but quickly found a new home in Atlanta with the Falcons. During the final week of preseason action, Tagovailoa will be returning to South Florida when the...

Dolphins schedule: Predicting Miami’s 2026 results

The 2026 NFL schedule has been released, including the Miami Dolphins’ 17 games spread over the 18 weeks of the regular season. Miami’s schedule this year does not include any nationally televised/stand alone games, a signal that the NFL does not seem them having a strong year or being a major television audience draw for this season.

Our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook agree. They have the Dolphins listed with 4.5 total wins this year. The line currently lists the Dolphins as +110 to surpass the total and -130 to come in under. Will Miami be able to exceed that low...

Miami Dolphins Discussion: New Draftee’s Jersey Edition

Miami Dolphins Discussion: New Draftee’s Jersey Edition

It’s a special, if not depressing, pastime that many of us Miami Dolphins fans sadly share. We get a new player either via free agency, trade, or the draft. We then, out of excitement for what that player is going to “finally” bring to this team that has long been missing, go out and purchase a very expensive jersey with their name and number on it. This is far too often followed by that player in disappointing fashion, despite what we were told when they were added to the roster, being cut, not being re-signed when their free agency arrives,...

Miami Dolphins release full 2026 schedule, open with back-to-back road games

After a week of rumors, speculation, and international game announcements, the full 2026 NFL schedule is finally here.

As has become tradition around the league, the Miami Dolphins dropped their schedule with a video on X, in which a certain “Mr. Ross” asks to meet with the team.

The Dolphins open with back-to-back road games out west, before their home opener against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3. The team has an early bye week this season, in Week 6. Also, the team does not have any primetime games currently schedule, though Week 18 against the New England Patriots...

Dolphins claim former Packers defensive tackle off waivers

Dolphins claim former Packers defensive tackle off waivers

The Miami Dolphins have claimed defensive tackle James Ester off waivers, as per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Ester, 24, signed a futures contract with the Packers in early 2025 and spent the entirety of last season on their practice squad. A futures contract is a deal signed by a free agent that locks them to a team’s practice squad or 90-man offseason roster for the following year. He signed another futures contract with the Packers in 2026, but was recently released to make room for another players.

As such, the Dolphins were able to swoop in and claim Ester....
