One of Mike McDaniel’s 33-year-old offensive assistants will have the chance to show his worth as a playcaller later this month at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
The 100th annual East/West Shrine game will kick off on January 30th from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and as you know, this game is a big deal for NFL draft prospects with dreams of playing on Sunday. However, for some coaches and coordinators, it’s also a unique opportunity to show the world what you’re capable of. And for one Miami Dolphins offensive assistant, that’s the opportunity to call plays in one of college...
Before Miami Dolphins games, I usually ask the following question about the upcoming opponent: Which players would you steal? We have done that for every team we have played this past season, and now we are at the time of the year when teams that were bad or struggled fire and hire new coaches, be it head coaches or coordinators/assistants. Many of our fans were on board with either or both the general manager and the head coach being fired. Since then, the owner, Stephen Ross, has stated that Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel will be back. The only coaches...
After PFF named Calais Campbell the team’s “secret superstar” we nominate five players to be the “super-secret superstar.”
The Miami Dolphins’ 2024 season came to a disappointing end as they failed to qualify for the playoffs despite huge preseason expectations. The focus for the team has to be figuring out what went wrong, how it can be fixed, and what changes need to be made during the 2025 offseason. Who starred, who is developing, and who disappointed?
Miami has to answer a lot of questions. Who was their “secret superstar” this year. Pro Football Focus released their list of “unheralded...
While the Dolphins fell short of expectations in 2024, numerous players achieved great personal accomplishments.
The 2024 Miami Dolphins season didn’t go quite as the team, nor the fans would have hoped. Miami missed the NFL Playoffs for the first time since Mike McDaniel took over as head coach ahead of the 2022 NFL season. The Dolphins also had a losing record for the first time since they went 5-11 in 2019.
But not everything was bad for Miami in 2024 — especially when considering individual accomplishments.
Multiple Miami Dolphins set single-season team records this past year — rewriting the...
The Athletic’s NFL Draft Analyst, Dane Brugler, released a two-round mock draft on Wednesday Morning. Here’s who the Dolphins selected with their picks.
A wise man once said:
“Mock drafts are like buttholes. Everyone has one, and they all stink!”
(Spoiler alert: I said it)
That saying still holds true in 2025, yet here I am. Once again, I am writing an article about, you guessed it, mock drafts! However, this mock draft differs from others as it comes from one of the best in the business, Dane Brugler!
In his latest mock draft, Brugler wastes no time selecting...
Welcome to the Splash Zone, the quickest way to get your day started off right. We bring you a rundown of Miami Dolphins news from the last 24 hours.
The Miami Dolphins have a very difficult decision to make this offseason with Tyreek Hill. After their season finale, it was reported that Hill took himself out of the game against the New York Jets and then the world heard his comments that he wants out of Miami after the game. Chris Grier stated that Hill hasn’t requested a trade, but Hill has made his feelings known. Now Grier has the...
In last evening’s Phinsider Question Of The Day, I asked: What is your way too early bold prediction for the upcoming 2025 offseason, season, or both?
Below are some of your thoughts and answers-

Miami’s 2024 draft class was forced into action early and often as rookies.
Three other pass rushers were selected before the Miami Dolphins drafted Chop Robinson with the 21st pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, but he proved to be exactly what Miami needed off the edge. He faced a larger-than-expected role due to injuries and answered the call with 56 quarterback pressures and six sacks while appearing in all 17 games as a rookie.
Zach Sieler led the team with 10 sacks but Robinson’s lightning-quick first step led to 42 of Miami’s 206 quarterback hurries last season, according to...
vaticinate (verb) - to tell of or describe beforehand
It’s that time of year when the Miami Dolphins enter their own personal postseason: one where no games are played and everyone just sits around brooding until about a month out from the draft.
That also means it’s the time of year to look back and very likely laugh at the predictions made by yours truly before the season began.
Verdict: True!
Let’s just jump right to the front of the success train.

The New England Patriots hired Mike Vrabel to be their new head coach.
The New England Patriots fired Jerod Mayo, one year after taking over for Bill Belichick. Mayo was put in a tough spot and Robert Kraft made the decision to get rid of Mayo and bring in an old friend, Mike Vrabel, who played for the Patriots from 2001 - 2008. Vrabel found some success as the Tennessee Titans head coach and caused plenty of issues for the Miami Dolphins. Now they’ll see him twice a year. Check out what the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and other NFL...
The Miami Dolphins' 2024 season has ended with a thud. At the beginning of the season, many fans believed that the team had not done enough to threaten the top teams in the league, but most of us still thought that the team would be at least somewhat good. The team would most have likely made it to the playoffs, at the very least, had starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa not intentionally put himself in the way of harm twice, resulting in quite a bit of lost time on the field.
Or maybe we could have made it to the playoffs...
Skylar Thompson signed a futures contract a day after the Miami Dolphins let him go.
The Miami Dolphins allowed quarterback Skylar Thompson’s practice squad contract to expire on Monday, effectively making him a free agent after choosing to not sign him to a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season. The team’s 2022 seventh-round pick was not out of a job for long, however. On Tuesday, Thompson’s agency, SportsTrust Advisors indicated Thompson was joining the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Thompson, who was selected with the 247th overall pick, joined the Dolphins after six years at Kansas State. He initially began his career on...
