The New England Patriots fired Jerod Mayo, one year after taking over for Bill Belichick. Mayo was put in a tough spot and Robert Kraft made the decision to get rid of Mayo and bring in an old friend, Mike Vrabel, who played for the Patriots from 2001 - 2008. The Miami Dolphins' 2024 season has ended with a thud. At the beginning of the season, many fans believed that the team had not done enough to threaten the top teams in the league, but most of us still thought that the team would be at least somewhat good. The team would most have likely made it to the playoffs, at the very least, had starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa not intentionally put himself in the way of harm twice, resulting in quite a bit of lost time on the field.

The Miami Dolphins allowed quarterback Skylar Thompson’s practice squad contract to expire on Monday, effectively making him a free agent after choosing to not sign him to a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season.
