JP Finlay, co-host of 106.7 the Fan’s BMitch & Finlay and Washington Commanders beat report for NBC Sports and Monumental Sports Network, joined the latest episode of Trap or Dive. As the Commanders’ training camp comes to a close, the optimism surrounding the state of the team remains high, and it should. Finlay, who covered every day of practice since camp started, thinks that the floor for Washington remains at ten wins this season. It’s a high floor, but it doesn’t make it any less attainable as Jayden Daniels’ ascension continues. Daniels was Finlay’s most impressive player in camp. That news isn’t surprising anyone, but the magnitude behind that statement, after years of quarterback turmoil, is what should stand out. Daniels continues to showcase his leadership within the team and development in offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury’s system. There is no question that the success of the 2025 Washington Commanders starts with their quarterback, Jayden Daniels, and that in itself is exciting.
