The United Football League (UFL) has its place in the pro football universe. It is strictly a developmental league that enables players to remain in the game and get some experience. It is home to those who aren’t good enough for the NFL or Canadian Football League, and their practice squads.
And both leagues have many former UFL players on their current rosters. So, the league does allow these guys the opportunity to continue their dream.
However, the UFL is not a farm system. Pro baseball has six levels of teams that feed their parent clubs. Many players come straight...

For most of the fanbase of the Cleveland Browns, the NFL draft and what happens with HC Kevin Stefanski (and, maybe a lesser extent GM Andrew Berry) is what is left to focus on for the 2025 NFL season and beyond. To a lesser extent (and fans of the player), whether QB Shedeur Sanders will get a chance on the field this season is also a talking point and focus.
For the franchise, QB Dillon Gabriel is the focus for now and, potentially, into the future.
In his debut as the team’s starter, Gabriel’s stat line was quite simple: 19...

All is not well in the land of Cleveland Browns football. The team returned to the United States, flying overnight immediately following their loss in London to the Minnesota Vikings, carrying with them a 1-4 record and more questions than answers.
While many are looking/hoping for a change with HC Kevin Stefanski, the Browns have a version of a short week as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 6.
While the clear and present situation is not positive, Cleveland’s decisions all offseason seemed pointed at a soft reset of the roster and [hope of the future...

The Cleveland Browns’ defense had some good moments against the Vikings, but ultimately, I would consider it one of their worst performances of the season. My opinion of Carson Wentz is not the highest, and Minnesota was also missing several offensive lineman. Despite that, they put together three legitimate touchdown drives in the game, including the game-winning drive. The frustrating part as a fan is the fact that you see the defense shut them down almost entirely or forced turnovers on 8 of the 11 drives. So you have that mixed bag of being dominant, versus giving up the big...

The Cleveland Browns’ offense showed some efficiencies as they logged 322 yards of offense against the Vikings, and their identity was clear with a confident running game and quick passes. They also did not turn the ball over. Unfortunately, there was still a lot lacking that led to their downfall. They were only 3-of-15 (20%) on third down, and some of their drives only continued because they were 3-of-3 (100%) on fourth down conversions. And, at the end of the day, they still only scored 17 points and failed to close out the game multiple times in the fourth quarter....

It was a familiar script on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
The offense had a few bright spots, including a 13-play, 69-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter, but struggled in the fourth quarter, as their four drives totaled only 29 yards.
The defense held up its end by forcing two turnovers, sacking Minnesota quarterback Carson Wentz three times, and allowing just 269 yards of offense until the Vikings’ final offensive drive.
But on that final drive, Wentz took the Vikings 80 yards in 10 plays, only faced a third down once, and hit...

The Cleveland Browns opened as 5.5-point underdogs against the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their Week 6 match-up, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under on the game is 38.5.
The Browns (1-4) are coming off of a deflating 21-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. It was one of those games in which we were hoping for a bit of a clean slate to begin the team’s “easier” stretch of the schedule, with an opportunity to start taking advantage of the weaker AFC North. Dillon Gabriel made his first career start and looked sharp like he did in the preseason, but the...

The Cleveland Browns have 12 more games to play in the 2025 NFL season, so a lot can still change but, through five weeks of the season, it is very clear how limited the offense is. The Browns made befuddling decision after befuddling decision in Week 5 versus the Minnesota Vikings, leading to snatching a loss from the jaws of victory.
It is important to look at the good as well as the bad, no matter the results of the game, which we do through our Brownies and Frownies each week, but the offense makes that difficult. The following players...

The Cleveland Browns seemed to control the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 of the NFL season, from jolly ol’ London. Despite that, and RB Quinshon Judkins continuing to look like the stud running back the team expected when drafting him in the second round, the Browns ended up as losers and the Vikings winners.
In general, Cleveland has needed to play close to perfect games to win this season and has rarely come even close to perfection, even the NFL’s version of that (which is much less than 100%). Suffering 10 penalties, six on offensive tackles, not having Judkins in...

The Cleveland Browns kept it close on Sunday, but in the end came up short against the Minnesota Vikings.
A late touchdown drive from the Vikings left the Browns on the wrong end of a 21-17 score, as Cleveland lost its second consecutive game to fall to 1-4 on the season.
There were some good things from the game for the Browns, but as always, there were just enough bad things to ruin the debut of quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
So with that in mind, let’s hand out some Brownies and some Frownies from the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in...
