Dawgs By Nature
The Cleveland Browns take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. We talked about earlier in the week how the over/under for this game is one of the lowest of the season, and sure enough, all of the projections below would hit the under. It’s also a clean sweep projected for the Browns — which sounds good on paper if you just compare the defenses of the two teams, but can you properly account for special teams?
Here is what the national media is saying about the Week 14 game between the Browns and Titans:
This is the dog game of the day, but it does feature two quarterbacks from the 2025 draft class in Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. Both have done some good and bad things. The Browns defense is much better than what Sanders will face. Look for the Browns to win it behind that defense.
Cam Ward vs. Shedeur Sanders used to be a top Hesiman and draft debate. Ward hasn’t done anything yet to dazzle as a rookie despite starting all season, while Sanders has had a few flashes early taking over for Cleveland. Ward is the only one of the rookie QBs, however, who needs to deal with Myles Garrett and the Browns’ pass rush on the road here.
Shedeur Sanders vs. Cam Ward? That’s the best way to sell what could be a low-scoring game between struggling offenses. Cleveland ranks 29th in scoring offense (16.2 ppg). Tennessee is last (14.2 ppg). Sanders has taken just four sacks through two starts. Ward has taken an average of four sacks per game on the road. Could Myles Garrett break the sack record this week?
