Both Myles Garrett and rookie LB Carson Schwesinger took home some hardware for their performances in November, and it probably won’t be the last time the duo is recognized for their defensive efforts in 2025.

Garrett has officially been named the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Month after tallying 18 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks in November. He continues to dominate opposing offenses with his elite pass-rushing prowess and is currently on pace to absolutely shatter the league’s single-season sack record. Garrett is currently sitting at a whopping 19 sacks, with five more games to go in the 2025 season.

Schwesinger has been the top rookie linebacker all season long, and he’s officially been named the Defensive Rookie of the Month for November.

Throughout the past four games, he’s totalled 39 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and a 0.5 sack. He’s also the only defensive rookie to have at least one tackle for loss in each of the last four games. He’s undoubtedly on pace to win the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year if he continues to play anywhere near the level that he’s playing at right now.

He currently leads the entire 2025 rookie class in tackles (106), tackles for loss (10), and is second in interceptions (2) for the season as well.
