A day after trading QB Joe Flacco away to their Ohio and AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns were back to trading on Wednesday night. This time, the Browns talked trade with a familiar team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, where they traded away CB Greg Newsome II for CB Tyson Campbell and an exchange of draft picks.
That Cleveland gave away slightly more in draft capital than they gave up says a lot about the finances of the deal, more on that later, as well as their interest in Campbell. As we do with NFL draft prospects and...

Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry has been a very busy man. First, he acquired LT Cam Robinson from the Houston Texans. Then, he was shipping QB Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals. Now, on the defensive side, he has traded CB Greg Newsome to the Jacksonville Jaguars along with a 2026 sixth-round draft pick for CB Tyson Campbell and a 2026 seventh-round selection.

Basically, it was a swap of cornerbacks. This is the second trade between the two teams, as Jacksonville was able to move up the April draft board in order to...

The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers renew a rivalry that has been going on for ages, and has been mostly one-sided since The Return in 1999, in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. To the surprise of some, the Steelers sit atop the AFC North and are coming off their bye week. To the surprise of very few, the Browns are struggling at the bottom of the division and are coming off a trip overseas.
Pittsburgh has the rest advantage, but Cleveland might be slightly healthier with fewer DNPs, based on Wednesday’s first injury report for the two teams...

At some point, the madness has to stop, right?
I could go on a rant about how the Cleveland Browns blew it by getting rid of Baker Mayfield years ago in favor of Deshaun Watson. Mayfield is currently beloved by Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, and seems to lead a game-winning comeback every week down there. My Aunt in Florida even raves about getting to watch him week in and week out.
Nonetheless, since parting ways with Mayfield, the Browns keep searching for that answer. And now with the most recent deal — trading Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals —...

At some point, wins and losses have to out-weigh your confidence in the direction of the team, so it’ll be interesting to see how fans vote in that question this week. On one hand, we’re talking about how Dillon Gabriel played fairly well in his first career start. But then, we’re also looking at a game in which the Browns again...

The NFL world was rocked on Tuesday when the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals completed a historic first trade between two teams that have been in-state rivals since 1970.
And the most surprised group may have been at Cleveland headquarters in Berea.
While the head coaches were busy putting together the game plan for this week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals came calling about quarterback Joe Flacco, who was demoted to the backup position last week in favor of rookie Dillon Gabriel.
The Bengals were desperate for a quarterback after watching Jake Browning throw a league-high eight interceptions...

The Cleveland Browns lost to the Minnesota Vikings this weekend in London by a score of 21-17, and it came on the back of a blown play by Denzel Ward in coverage at the 26-second mark in the 4th quarter.
Everyone knows that Ward is one of the absolute best cornerbacks in the league, but he’s shown the ability to have some mental lapses from time to time, and this was a huge one. For whatever reason, Denzel Ward has always had trouble with different cover 2 variations. It’s almost as if he forgets what his responsibilities are and whether...

The Cleveland Browns soft reset of the roster is led by the team’s 2025 NFL draft class and the undrafted free agents (UDFAs) that came along following the event. The plan and strategy are “working out” despite the 1-4 record following a frustrating loss in Week 5.
Following the trade of QB Joe Flacco and filling that roster spot, the Browns 53-man roster has 13 players that were added either in the draft or as UDFAs.

The Cleveland Browns made what is apparently one of the most shocking moves of the NFL season on Tuesday by trading quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals.
While everyone picks their jaws up from the floor in the wake of the first completed trade between the longtime divisional rivals*, the deal opened up a roster spot that the Browns needed to fill as they prepare for this week’s road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
General manager Andrew Berry checked off that box on Wednesday morning as the club signed cornerback Dom Jones from the practice squad.
The 6-foot-2 and...

It is Week 6, as the Cleveland Browns are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London. Trading away Joe Flacco likely came after this week’s rankings were done, but that doesn’t really have an impact anyway (maybe on the Bengals’ ranking it would). Despite the Browns falling to 1-4, this might be a first: they had no change in the rankings this week. They averaged a ranking of 26.3 heading into the week, and are still 26.3, with some variations from site to site.
Oddly enough, most of the site didn’t seem concerned with the...
