At least for another week, the Browns talk will include playoff seeding and NFL draft positioning
Coming off an impressive, exciting win in Week 8, the Cleveland Browns find themselves at an interesting crossroads. If the Browns can win in Week 9, the NFL trade deadline could look significantly different. As it is, Cleveland would be sellers with a few interesting names rumored and seen as possible trade candidates.
At least for this week, where the Browns playoff hopes are actually alive due to a weak AFC, fans can have eyes in two directions. The playoffs at least have to...
Browns are currently in the 11th spot, just two games back of a playoff spot
We will never know what could have been but we might get a chance to see what can be with the Cleveland Browns. Many were calling for Jameis Winston to be the Browns starting quarterback early in the 2024 NFL season. At 1-6, Cleveland was forced to make the change when Deshaun Watson was lost for the season.
We all know what happened in Week 8.
Winston led the Browns to an upset victory over the, at the time, AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens. A nice...
Not necessarily a fire sale
It is no secret that the Cleveland Browns have had issues this year. The offense has sputtered with very little change each week. And now that QB Deshaun Watson is gone for the year, it is almost a carbon copy of the quarterback issues the team suffered last season with multiple players taking the helm in arguably the most important position on the field.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah looked to have his head snap back on contact
The Cleveland Browns defense continues to deal with injuries as LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was carted off the field after a big collision with Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry. The Browns’ star linebacker fell backward and lay in that position following the play with officials and medical personnel attending to him quickly.
The reply was tough to watch as JOK’s head snapped back upon contact.
After a few minutes on the field, with fans chanting “JOK,” the Notre Dame product was loaded onto the cart:
As seen on television, Owusu-Koramoah...
Jameis Winston, Cedric Tillman and a tough defense lead the way for the Browns
The Baltimore Ravens rolled into town with a mighty offense highlighted by a tough running game. Both QB Lamar Jackson and RB Derrick Henry are being discussed as league MVP and it’s not even at the halfway portion of the schedule. This Ravens rushing attack leads the league in almost every rushing category including most yards.
This Cleveland Browns defense is not the same as last year despite having almost the same cast members. DC Jim Schwartz definitely stayed up late at night attempting to come...
Browns fans can also use this as an open thread.
Tonight on Sunday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers take on the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams are banged up and missing star players. The 49ers hope to get help back after their bye, but first they have to turn their attention to the Cowboys and an attempt to get back to .500. Their division is still well up for grabs, so the opportunity is there for them to seize the moment again.
After two tight wins over the Giants and the Steelers on the road, Dallas came back home —...
Cleveland picks up its first home win of the season, one of many firsts on the day.
It was a day of firsts on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns against the Baltimore Ravens at Huntington Bank Field.
Most importantly, the Browns took down the Ravens, 29-24, for their first home win and first AFC North Division win of the season.
While a rebound from 1-6 to a return to the playoffs is still a long shot, the game was the first step in the right direction after five weeks of the team consistently hurting itself.
Other firsts include:
A much-needed victory for the Browns that included a few standout performances.
The Cleveland Browns won their first game in six weeks against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. It was their best game of the season, and the Browns looked like the team we all thought we were getting at the start of the year.
Suddenly, the issues that had plagued them all year seemingly disappeared as they moved the ball up and down the field. Jameis Winston who took over for the injured Deshaun Watson led to an offensive outburst from Cleveland.
Winston threw for over 300 yards...
Browns Week 8 victory could mean more if Cedric Tillman continues to grow
The Cleveland Browns are 2-6 but a huge upset over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8 was an important game for the team with nine games left in the season. A day after the Voice of the Browns Jim Donovan passed away, the Browns put together their best game of the season in front of their home crowd.
Injuries continue to be a concern with Denzel Ward leaving with a head injury and [Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah being carted off the field and taken to a hospital with a...
The offense explodes under Winston, even if he dodges a bunch of interceptions.
The Browns had the lead for much of the game, but it was always close. The offense was much better under Jameis Winston, and the defense had their moments — but then Baltimore went fast-paced and got a go-ahead touchdown with 2:36 to go. With a shot at a game-winning drive, Winston delivered — sort of. After a game-ending interception was dropped, he came back with a go-ahead touchdown pass to give the Browns a 29-24 lead. Then, the defense held with a minute to go and...
Browns top corner has a long history of concussion issues
The Cleveland Browns have played well in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens and hold a 13-10 lead more than halfway through the third quarter. The Browns defense has caused issues for the Ravens offense most of the day but may have to do so without CB Denzel Ward.
Ward, who has been playing well this season, gave up his first touchdown earlier in the game, was being checked by a neurological specialist on the sideline after Baltimore’s first possession of the second half. It wasn’t immediately obvious what happened...
