In many ways, the 2026 NFL schedule reveal for the Cleveland Browns is likely to be anticlimactic. The road schedule has one interesting game besides the yearly AFC North matchups, and the home schedule isn’t significantly better with the return of former Browns HC Kevin Stefanski topping the list.
Teams can only play the schedule that is ahead of them, but that doesn’t stop us from wishing for the schedule to have some interesting components to it. One that seemed locked in late last year was Cleveland traveling to Paris, France, to face the New Orleans Saints. There [have been...

The Cleveland Browns lost confidence in wide receiver Amari Cooper leading up to the 2024 NFL trade deadline. It feels like forever ago, and in a lot of ways, it was. The Browns got a Day 2 pick for the aging wideout, and while Cooper didn’t play great in Buffalo, he still had a little gas in the tank.
Cooper was out of the NFL in 2025 after retiring from the Las Vegas Raiders. He signed in Vegas after his contract with the Bills expired.
Now that the trade is completely in the books, it’s time to look back on...

The NFL schedule release is just a couple of days away, with all of the international games being announced on Wednesday. While a wide variety of big-time games have either been announced or rumored, the Cleveland Browns have not been a part of any of those. There are a few things worth rooting for with the Browns schedule, including specific Week 1 opponents.
Part of the reason that Cleveland hasn’t been included in any high-profile games is that their schedule lacks many big-name opponents. It is also why their schedule has been ranked as one of the easier ones. The...

The Cleveland Browns just finished their 2026 rookie minicamp over the weekend. This consisted of all drafted players, undrafted rookie free agents, first-year players, and some tryout guys.
It is also the first year for new head coach Todd Monken and the majority of his coaching staff. The minicamp was held from May 8–10 in Berea at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus.

The effort was good each day, but as expected, there were plenty of mistakes. Being called offside seemed to be a popular occurrence all weekend. So was going right when the play...

With a much-improved roster, Cleveland Browns fans are excited about what the future holds. The solid foundation of the 2025 NFL draft class gave way to the upside of premium positions added in this year’s college selection process. Browns fans also got two receivers near the top of the draft, for the first time ever.
The problem, as someone within the organization texted me this morning, is that the quarterback position is hard to ignore (“elephant in the room” in Berea).
Everyone knows what the QB competition looks like right now. According to a report, [Deshaun Watson has the edge...

Though there are plenty of other position groups in limbo this offseason, perhaps the most overlooked one is tight end. With David Njoku leaving this offseason and Todd Monken coming in, figuring out who TE2 will be heading into 2026 is likely a top priority for the offensive staff.
Everyone knows how talented Harold Fannin Jr. is, especially after the catch. What we don’t know is how guys like Blake Whiteheart, Jack Stoll, Joe Royer, and Carsen Ryan would handle a legitimate number of snaps in 2026 alongside Fannin Jr. in 12 and 13 personnel formations.
Whiteheart has only played...

Spring is an annual renewal for everyone. Especially in the NFL. The free agency period begins in March, the college draft is a fixture at the end of April, and then the league schedules are introduced in May.
The Cleveland Browns have taken every opportunity to improve their roster for the upcoming season using all of these events.

But as Mother’s Day and then Father’s Day roll up in May and June, it becomes reminders of people in our lives that we have lost over time. Last year’s list can be found here.

There will be no surprise reunion between the Cleveland Browns and TE David Njoku, not that anyone expected one. Njoku said goodbye to the Cleveland fans before the start of NFL free agency, after a unique bond with the city during his nine seasons with the Browns.
With the NFL draft in the rearview, Njoku was one of the biggest names left on the free agent market. Early in the offseason, “The Chief” visited with the Baltimore Ravens but left without a contract. Early in May, the Los Angeles Chargers brought the former first-round pick out for a visit, and...

One of the more underrated storylines throughout the summer and heading into the 2026 preseason could end up revolving around the running back position simply because of how important it is to the Todd Monken offense.
It’s no secret that Monken relies very heavily on the run game when it comes to the success of his offense and how everything sequences off of each other. We saw him utilize Derrick Henry beautifully over the past two seasons, and though Quinshon Judkins is only heading into year two in Cleveland, he’s shown the ability to be a workhorse-type player as a...

For those who have followed my coverage of Cleveland sports for the 15+ years I’ve been doing it, you know I have three types of teams that I like the most:
Most fans like the first two, who wouldn’t like a team that has a reasonable chance of winning a title or a young team that is putting things together with its talent. It is the final team that some do not like. For me, a title is the highest priority, and being mediocre with many veterans on the roster just...
