The Cleveland Browns will enter the 2026 season without David Njoku in the tight end room for the first time since 2016, and it’s an odd feeling. Though the floor of the room seems a bit shakier without the “Chief” in it, it could end up being a more solid overall unit going forward.
As everyone in the league knows, Harold Fannin Jr. is already a star who’s a threat to score whenever he touches the football, consistently turning plays meant to gain 5-6 yards into chunks of 15+. His elite playmaking skills have begun to garner consistent praise from...

This has been one of the hottest topics amongst Cleveland fans over the past month or so, and it honestly shouldn’t be, for multiple reasons.
First off, it’s very well known that Todd Monken likes Shedeur Sanders quite a bit and was pushing for Baltimore to draft him last year when he was still the offensive coordinator there. Sanders losing the job to Deshaun Watson really wouldn’t mean much in 2026, as it’s more than likely Watson’s final year in Cleveland regardless of his performance this season.
Also, just because the Browns are planning on taking a quarterback early in...

After the trade of DE Myles Garrett, the story for the Cleveland Browns is squarely on the quarterback position. New HC Todd Monken isn’t ready to name a starter but has labeled Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders as the two quarterbacks in the running to take the role.
Watson has reportedly taken the lead in the battle, but Sanders has impressed as well. The Browns are reportedly very happy with how the competition is going, but there is ‘90%’ left to be determined.
Whichever quarterback wins the job will have an improved set of weapons to throw to, along with...

The Cleveland Browns have a full quarterback room. Here at DBN, we have reported on veteran Deshaun Watson being the starter, the possibility that Shedeur Sanders will evolve into the starting QB, Dillon Gabriel not being out of the equation, and how rookie Taylen Green should develop.
But not a single word that the Browns are attempting to bring Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby into the fold.

Plenty of ink has been devoted to who Sorsby is and the journey that might bring him onto Cleveland’s roster. But no quotes from...

The Cleveland Browns will enter the 2026 NFL with some major changes on a defense that was statistically one of the league’s best for the past three seasons.
Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and arguably the best defensive player in franchise history, is gone to the Los Angeles Rams, with Jared Verse looking to fill the void.
Quincy Williams joins the linebacker room to replace the departed Devin Bush and work alongside Carson Schwesinger, the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year and No. 93 player on the current NFL Top 100 list.
In the secondary, second-round...

The turnover on the Cleveland Browns roster has been immense over the last two seasons, leaving a very young roster with very few veterans 30 years or older. Besides the trade of DE Myles Garrett and LB Devin Bush leaving in free agency, the Browns defense has stayed mostly the same this offseason. It is on the offensive side of the ball where things are very different from last year.
The offensive line, including the tackle position with all its options, has seen the most changes, but the QB competition also has new weapons to work with. Cleveland drafted WR...

There is pressure on quite a few Cleveland Browns players going into the 2026 season to prove that they should be a part of the team’s future plans. With how unstable the offense has been, many players have a lot to prove on that side of the ball.
Deshaun Watson
Watson probably has the most to prove out of any player on the Browns roster because he really has one last season to decide his future in this league. Given his off-the-field issues, injury history, and inconsistent performance, it will be difficult for any team to justify signing him to...

The Cleveland Browns’ offensive line last year began with basically the same group of guys that were ranked #2 in the league in 2023. That is, in Week 1. The Browns roster heading into this season, especially on the offensive line, including doubling up in the NFL draft at tackle, is very different.
The cast of characters all had a familiar tune last year: RT Jack Conklin, RG Wyatt Teller, C Ethan Pocic, LG Joel Bitonio, and LT Dawand Jones. These guys had all earned NFL All-Rookie Team honors, first and second-team All-Pro hardware, and their share of Pro Bowls....

A fairly overlooked topic this offseason has been Cleveland’s linebacker room, aside from the fact that Carson Schwesinger just made the NFL’s top-100 players list for 2026. With Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah still away from the team and Quincy Williams being the only other established player in the room, it’s surprising that we haven’t talked about it more this offseason.
One of the safest takeaways that we can gain from the current state of the linebacker room is the simple fact that new DC Mike Rutenberg is going to pretty much live in a nickel/4-2-5 defense in 2026.
It’s really just Schwesinger...

With training camp less than a month away, there are plenty of things that Cleveland Browns fans will be looking forward to — the quarterback play, the offensive line in general, the wide receiver position in general, how the team adapts without Myles Garrett defensively, a new coaching staff, etc.
The other big thing will be focusing on the Browns’ rookie...
