The Chicago Bears couldn’t keep Caleb Williams clean again on Sunday, but the Minnesota Vikings only got to him twice. The Vikes sent bliters from various angles, and they sent them often — on 66.7% of his drop-backs, according to Next Gen Stats — the second-highest blitz rate from any team this year. Caleb managed the blitz pretty well by either getting the ball out quickly, making a guy miss, or throwing the ball away.
Head coach Ben Johnson talked about how Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores called more cornerback blitzes than they expected, but Caleb did a nice job...

On Wednesday, the Chicago Bears opened the 21-day practice window for starting nickleback Kyler Gordon, who was placed on injured reserve on October 25 with a calf injury. He’ll now be able to practice with the team while they determine if he’s ready to return to the active roster.
Gordon’s window was opened just five days after the window was opened for fellow defenisve back, Jaylon Johnson, who is coming back from a groin injury.
With Gordon and Johnson presumably due back soon, that will be a big boost for a pass defense that has struggled most of the season....

As the Chicago Bears prepare for their 11th game of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the first official team injury reports for week 12 have been released.
Altogether, six Bears were listed as DNP (did not practice) on Wednesday, including: DB Jaquan Brisker (shoulder), DB Kevin Byard III (rest), LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin), LB T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), DL Grady Jarrett (rest), and LB Noah Sewell (elbow).
Seven more Bears were listed as limited: OL Drew Dalman (knee), DB Kyler Gordon (calf), RB Travis Homer (hamstring/knee), DB Jaylon Johnson (groin), DB Tyrique Stevenson (hip/calf), RB D’Andre Swift (hip),...

Throughout the 2025 NFL season, SB Nation’s Doug Farrar will write about the game’s Secret Superstars — those players whose performances might slip under the radar for whatever reasons. In this installment, we focus on Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright, who honored John Beam, his former college coach on Sunday, in an emotional play that also personified how Wright is playing his best football to date.
One of the primary reasons that the Chicago Bears are 7-3, atop the NFC North, and have the NFC’s No. 3 seed right now — in very good shape for their first postseason appearance...

Another week, another game winning drive for Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. Yes, that’s the same opening sentence as last week. No, Caleb Williams didn’t need to do much on this particular game winning drive, but it still counts! That’s now five (5) such drives on the season, tied for the league lead, and in sole possession of first place for the single season franchise mark, breaking the tie with Jay Cutler, Billy Wade, and Bob Avellini. Caleb’s 193 yards in this one drops him just below the 4,000 yard pace at 3,959. This one might be a race...

Welcome back to STEP Differential. STEP stands for Sack + Turnover(x2) + Explosive Play Differential. Make sure you’re flipping through pages 2-5 to see everything broken out by component and the overall performance of the STEP Differential in individual games. After a lukewarm start, the statistic is on a roll lately. Winning the STEP Differential over the last five weeks has a combines 57-6. Infogram below:
The Jets went back to Jets-ing with a -7 and a loss. They’re probably not going to threaten the Browns record -101 at this point but they’re still awful. The Ravens won despite a...

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bears fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
If you signed up for the weekly emailed Reacts surveys, you would have received a bunch of questions about the NFL, but also the question up there in the title was posed to our Reacts voters this week.
Are the Chicago Bears a good team?
I’m curious to see how fans of all 32 teams view the Bears, but I suspect...

The NFL season is quickly moving through November, Thanksgiving is on the horizon, and yet it still feels like each week a different team ends up on the top of everyone’s power rankings.
The Chicago Bears keep on winning, improbably, but are moving in the right direction as they now sit atop their division.
The Kansas City Chiefs are falling, along with the other teams that can’t seem to win consistently. And then there are teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers who keep winning but somehow not that impressively.
But debate is half the fun of the...
