The Denver Broncos tight end room must be used more in 2026 if the offense is going to make another leap forward. What does the room look like going into training camp?
Since Sean Payton took over the head coaching job for the Broncos, the tight ends in his offense have been a valuable piece, but not in the way that most people perceive the position.
When you hear about tight ends, you typically think of the guys who are catching 75+ passes and impacting the middle of...
Panthers right tackle Taylor Moton is receiving treatment for blood clots and will start training camp on the non-football injury list, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports. Moton was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung in late June, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. He is likely to miss regular-season time, but there is optimism he will play in 2026, Wolfe relays.
Panthers No. 1 cornerback Jaycee Horn will join Moton on the NFI list after cutting his foot and requiring stitches, per Wolfe. However, Horn is not dealing with a serious injury. He should return...

Through the summer, we will be counting down the Jets roster player by player. We continue the series by discussing Xavier Hill.
Name: Xavier Hill
Number: 76
Year With Jets: 1st
Projected Role: Practice squad candidate
His 2025: After two years at Memphis, Hill transferred to Colorado, starting 10 games at guard and allowing 3 sacks. He went undrafted and was signed by the Jets as a free agent.

The Los Angeles Rams are a little under six weeks away from final cuts, when the team will have to release players after training camp and submit their official 53-man roster. Crunching these numbers is exceptionally difficult and although there are always tricks and loopholes to use, in most cases if you really want a player on the bubble, you will need to cut someone you don’t want to cut.

Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett has been seeking a raise all offseason after the team informed him he will be the starting quarterback.
Brissett reported to Arizona’s mandatory minicamp after skipping the voluntary portion of the offseason program, though he didn’t have a full workload of on-field activity.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there is still not a contract resolution for Brissett a day before the Cardinals report for camp, as there isn’t a consensus on what the number should come in at. It’s worth noting Brissett is his own agent, and Rapoport mentions the two sides have been negotiating for...
NFL Trade Rumors
The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the 2026 season with the third-highest-paid wide receiver room in the NFL.
With that kind of financial investment comes equally high expectations.
For years, the Steelers have struggled to field a consistent and sustainable receiving tandem. Despite producing talented individual receivers, the position has often been one of the weaker links on the roster as a whole. This offseason, however, Pittsburgh made a significant effort to change that.
The Steelers traded for longtime Indianapolis Colts receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and then aggressively moved up in the second round of the NFL Draft to select former Alabama...
Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC, free agent DL Denico Autry is expected to retire.
The longtime veteran who was most recently with the Texans hasn’t made any official announcements yet. However, Wilson notes Houston went ahead with other plans to fill Autry’s role for 2026.
Autry, 36, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in 2014 but was waived after a week and claimed by the Raiders.
The Raiders decided to waive him later on and signed him to their practice squad after clearing waivers. Las Vegas promoted him to the...

The most outspoken member of the Buffalo Bills has made the NFL’s Top 100 player list.
Not only is Dion Dawkins the second-most visible Bills player behind Josh Allen, he’s long been one of the steadiest left tackles in football.
The former second round pick — in Sean McDermott’s first year as head coach — began his career at guard before kicking outside to tackle, an unusual career arc for an NFL blocker.
He’s been Buffalo’s starting left tackle since 2018, and has logged over 1,000 snaps (including the postseason) in eight-consecutive seasons.
Here’s the NFL’s video on Dawkins inclusion...

The Pittsburgh Steelers have spent the last few years rebuilding their offensive line, and it’s starting to pay off. It’s still a far cry from what that unit looked like for most of the 2010s, though. The Steelers’ offensive line was one of the league’s best during that era, led by stars such as Maurkice […]

The Miami Dolphins and linebacker Jordyn Brooks have agreed to a three-year contract extension, keeping the veteran with the team through the 2029 season. Earlier in the offseason, new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan identified core players he envisioned the Dolphins building around as they reset their roster for the future. With the extension of Brooks, Miami has now reached contract agreements with three of those players, including running back De’Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer.
Brooks’ extension and contract details were first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The new extension, which adds the 2027, 2028, and...

We’re almost there, folks: training camp.
While the NFL offseason is tediously long, I’m usually fine and adequately preoccupied with baseball and the usual summer activities that fill evenings and weekends. The World Cup was also a welcome distraction this year.
Nonetheless, when the MLB All-Star Break hits, the itch becomes impossible to scratch, and football season can’t arrive soon enough.
The focus will be on the quarterback competition. Since I last touched on the topic a few weeks ago, the odds have shifted ever so slightly in J.J. McCarthy’s favor (-770, 88.5% implied probability, down from -1000, 90.9%).
Regardless,...
