The Niners have quite a few holes to fill in the 2025 NFL Draft.
When it comes to position groups that have seen the most attrition this offseason for the San Francisco 49ers, the defensive line has easily been the most impacted position.
San Francisco made several cash-saving moves along the defensive line, releasing defensive end Leonard Floyd and defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Maliek Collins.
In return, they did not make any meaningful additions, creating holes on the starting defensive line ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Defensive line play has long been a staple of the 49ers’ defenses,...
Jake Curhan returns to the NFC West.
A former Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman is returning to the NFC West.
It was announced on Thursday that veteran tackle Jake Curhan has signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
Curhan went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft but signed with the Seahawks shortly thereafter. The former Cal Bear made the initial Seahawks roster in 2021 and went on to start in five games for Seattle in 2021. Curhan did not start again for the Seahawks until 2023, when he started in four games. Over Curhan’s three seasons in Seattle, he started nine games (all...
Always invest in the lines
There is no doubt that the Eagles will draft a defensive tackle. Milton Williams, second on the DT depth chart in snaps played, left in free agency and the Eagles have not signed a DT in free agency, and any they do between now and the draft is unlikely to make an impact.
The Eagles will take DT in all shapes and sizes, from short (6’1.5” Marlon Tuipulotu) to tall (6’6 ⅜” Jordan Davis); from light (Milton Williams and Moro Ojomo are under 290 lbs) to heavy (Jordan Davis and Noah Ellis are over 340...

While Cooper Kupp, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs and DeAndre Hopkins are off the market, two accomplished 30-somethings remain available at wide receiver. Both Tyler Lockett and Keenan Allen have ties to AFC West teams, and an Allen reunion appears on the table.
Jim Harbaugh said (via The Athletic’s Daniel Popper) at the league meetings the Chargers and Allen renewing their partnership “would be cool,” labeling another agreement as possible. Even after reuniting with Mike Williams, the Chargers look to have a need at receiver alongside new No. 1 target Ladd McConkey.
Allen did not exactly leave Los Angeles on good...
Go all the way Trey!
Congratulation to Trey McBride and the Arizona Cardinals for a marriage made for heaven!
Breaking down new deal
The Las Vegas Raiders gave Geno Smith a new contract extension Thursday. We break down the major aspects of the deal:
Probably less than he expected:
The Raiders are basically paying Smith $106 million over three years with some incentives and solid guarantees. Frankly, this is probably less that what he aimed to get when talks started with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason. But they were far apart and the Seahawks dealt him to the Raiders. The word is he wanted to average more than $40 million a year, but now he has to hope he...
