Silver Minings: Raiders need to punch it in

Silver Minings: Raiders need to punch it in

There is a glaring need of improvement in key offensive area

The Las Vegas Raiders worked to upgrade the offense through the offseason as the new regime led by general manager John Spytek and coach Pete Carroll took over.

They hired Chip Kelly as the offensive coordinator. They traded for new quarterback Geno Smith and they drafted running back Ashton Jeanty and wide receiver Jack Bech in the first two rounds of the draft.

So, of course, they are looking for a jolt of electricity from the new-look unit that already features second-year superstar tight end Brock Bowers.

While the...

Steelers Faced Small George Pickens Trade Market; Latest On Cowboys’ Acquisition Plan

By the time George Pickens was dealt, it hardly came as a surprise given the chatter surrounding a trade from the Steelers. The Cowboys acquired him last week, but not because they won a wide-ranging bidding war.

Few teams showed interest in the pending free agent receiver, Mark Kaboly of The Pat McAfee Show reports. Acquiring Pickens as a one-year rental would have provided a boost to the passing attack of any number of suitors, but the cost of doing so would be weighed against the off-field concerns which played a key role in Pittsburgh’s decision to move on....

Travis Kelce Reveals Remarkable Offseason Body Transformation Inspired By The Chiefs’ Super Bowl Loss

Travis Kelce Reveals Remarkable Offseason Body Transformation Inspired By The Chiefs’ Super Bowl Loss

Travis Kelce has undergone a significant body transformation, according to the man himself.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was a shell of himself last season but still helped the AFC outfit reach the Super Bowl.

He appeared gassed once they got there, however, making little impact on the game in an embarrassing 40-22 loss in which KC went into halftime at 24-0.

Kelce, who was hoping to achieve a three-peat with the Chiefs, is not looking to retire despite previously hinting he could walk away. The Super Bowl 59 loss has seemingly inspired him to return to the standards...

Agent for Green Bay Packers star questioned GM about first-round pick Matthew Golden

The Green Bay Packers used the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Matthew Golden, spending a first-round pick on a wide receiver for the first time since 2002. Evidently, that raised eyebrows in the Packers’ receiver room and led to an agent questioning general manager Brian Gutekunst.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that wide receiver Jayden Reed’s agent, Drew ROsenhaus, met with the Packers general manager this past week to ‘clarify’ the 25-year-old’s status and role with the team.

‘ChiefsAholic’ Hit With Lengthy Prison Sentence Over Bank Robbery That Almost Doubles The Time He Was Already Serving

It seemed like the wild saga of Xaviar Babudar, the Chiefs fan most people know as “ChiefsAholic,” came to an end when he was sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison over a string of bank robberies last year. However, he’ll be in the clink for much longer after learning his fate concerning the state charges he was hit with for an armed heist in Oklahoma.

There are a number of NFL teams that have boast fans who managed to become unofficial mascots thanks to the attention they managed to garner; “Fireman Ed” was a staple at Jets...

Steelers, Vikings Have Plenty of International History

The last time the Steelers played overseas, they lost to the Minnesota Vikings–sparking a new era of Steelers football.

The Pittsburgh Steelers learned on Tuesday they will be playing host to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 of their highly anticipated game in Ireland. The contest will make history as the first regular-season NFL game played in Ireland. Ironically, the last time the Steelers played across the pond, they also played against the Vikings.

Minnesota, of course, was the designated host of that matchup. In the 2013 preseason, the game looked like a promising battle between two fringe playoff teams....

Who will be the WR1 for the 49ers in 2025?

The Niners have some things to figure out with their receiving corps this offseason.

The San Francisco 49ers broke up their wide receiver corps this offseason, sending former All-Pro Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders for a fifth-round draft pick.

A move was expected at some point after the 49ers drafted Ricky Pearsall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, with buzz heating up around the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine after Samuel requested a trade.

With Deebo out of the picture, the 49ers now have a receiver corps headlined by Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, and Pearsall. Aiyuk, however,...
