If the Bengals are going to salvage something from this season, the work begins now.
The Cincinnati Bengals were so focused on building the league’s most dangerous offense that they forgot the team plays football. Football requires a team to be able to punch and be punched while continuing to move forward. The 2024 Bengals have all the finesse of figure skaters but not much of the toughness needed to win in the NFL.
That’s why they’re 4-7. They can hit hard, but when they get hit back, they fold. Just look at the four teams they’ve defeated this year....

Sean Payton clarified on Monday that his comments about a different team this year weren’t about one QB over another. It may not be about Russell Wilson, but it is definitely about Bo Nix.
After the win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Sean Payton noted that “last year’s team doesn’t win this game.”
