The NFL announced that Washington Commanders DT Daron Payne has been suspended for 1 game without pay. He was ejected from yesterday’s game against the Detroit Lions after he struck WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and was penalized for unsportsmanlike-conduct. Payne was named a captain by Dan Quinn for the game, and will now miss the Dolphins game in Madrid, Spain, unless he appeals, and it’s reduced to a fine. The team is reportedly leaving for Madrid tonight.

Payne received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for punching Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown in Week 10, leading to his ejection.
