The Houston Texans suffered an embarrassing loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 12, 32-27. To make matters worse, quarterback CJ Stroud, who never seems to be short on confidence, did his best Dan Orlovsky impression by running out the back of the end zone to seal the contest on a safety. Granted, he was about to get sacked by Titans star Harold Landry III, but it was an awful way to end the game.

Sunday was not a good day for the Houston Texans, to say the least. CJ Stroud and company lost a game to the Titans they never should’ve lost, making some awful mistakes along the way.
It’s hard to pick out what mistake was the worst mistake the Texans made. But, CJ Stroud had one that certainly is going to live in infamy for a long time.
Stroud went through a rough few weeks during October and early November with the offense hurt by injuries. But, top target Nico Collins is back, and, at least statistically, he’s been playing better.

Jay-Z, along with Fanatics CEO and friend Michael Rubin, joined the likes of Dez Bryant and many others to watch the Cowboys take on the Commanders at Northwest Stadium.
The Commanders have had a resurgent season, going 7-4, but they came into the game losing two in a row.
Dallas has been bad all year, but all three of its victories have been on the road, so it is still a dangerous team.
The Cowboys played their best game of the season, outdueling Washington to the tune of a 34-26 victory.
In the midst of the loss, former NFL WR...
Demontrey Jacobs eventually found a seat on the bench, but New England Patriots fans might argue it was three quarters too late.
The Patriots right tackle allowed seven pressures and one sack during a 34-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Jacobs was far and away New England’s lowest-graded offensive linemen, per Pro Football Focus.
“Yeah, he was having a tough game,” Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo told reporters at Hard Rock Stadium, per a team-provided video.
Jacobs, who also was whistled for a false start and a hold, was benched in favor of Sidy Sow.
“Whether it was...
The NFC West remains the tightest division in 2024. Here's a look at the updated standings and status for each team.
New England had 10 accepted penalties on Sunday.
In a tie game, the New England Patriots’ second offensive possession on Sunday seemed promising. Antonio Gibson picked up a pair of 14-yard gains while Drake Maye made things happen with both his arm and legs.
All of that overcame a pair of penalties by offensive tackles Vederian Lowe and Trey Jacobs earlier in the drive. But then, a third penalty — a hold on Jacobs — proved too costly as the drive stalled before Joey Slye’s field goal rang off the uprights.
“Penalties just hurt us. Hurt us the whole first...
NFL fans were stunned after seeing all the unusual things that happened in the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders game.
The New York Giants were pounded by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-7, on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in a lackluster effort that showed that there is a heckuva lot more wrong with this team than just Daniel Jones.
Fans booed — and many even left at halftime — as the Giants dropped their sixth straight game to fall to 2-9. They are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the worst record in the NFL and are currently in line to select second overall in next year’s NFL draft.
But the fans weren’t the only ones who panned the Giants’...
The Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers both lost in the AFC standings.
The Buffalo Bills didn’t play in Week 12 but they picked up two wins in the AFC Playoff Picture (and almost picked up a third). The other three division leaders were locked into close games, with two of them falling.
The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 10-1, one game ahead of Buffalo, but the Carolina Panthers gave KC everything they could handle. The Chiefs kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired.
On Thursday night, the third-place Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Cleveland Browns. They will stay in...
Here are some live updates from the Las Vegas Raiders home game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday:
Indianapolis (5-7) had 98 yards of offense negated due to costly penalties. There was a dropped pass at the goal line by backup tight end Drew Ogletree and a 40-plus-yard incompletion because backup receiver Ashton Dulin forgot to get both of his feet in bounds after making an improbable catch.
The Indianapolis Colts never reached the end zone in Sunday’s 24-6 loss to the Detroit Lions, who extended their win streak to a league-high nine straight games.
Who expected to win this game? With three rookies starting on the offensive line, miscues were emanate and inevitable. Indianapolis (5-7) had 98...
