Las Vegas adds well-respected scout who had been in Philadelphia since 2002
The Las Vegas Raiders announced they’re hiring Anthony Patch as a senior personnel executive on Monday. Patch was previously the Philadelphia Eagles’ longest-tenured scouting staff member, per Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, and most recently served as the Eagles’ director of college scouting.
While plenty of scouts and front office members will be on the move in the coming days, and some already have landed new jobs, this addition is significant for the Raiders. Patch projects to be a major boost to the scouting department as he...
The hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars front office might be sore from all the high-fives they’ve gotten recently. And there’s no doubt they drafted a special talent. However, here is why Travis Hunter won’t meet expectations with the Jaguars after his standout college career.
Jacksonville traded away its Nos. 5 and 36 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Jaguars also dealt their first-round pick in 2026. For their troubles, they received the much-hyped Hunter. He was considered a top-five talent as both a cornerback and a wide receiver.
But in the NFL, there are no guarantees of success. And...
The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants are the only two teams that came away with two first-round picks after the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Falcons did so with an eye on fixing their NFL-worst pass-rush from 2024. Meanwhile, the Giants believe they landed the draft’s best pass-rusher and their next franchise quarterback, all in one day.
To do so, the Giants had to get aggressive, moving back into the first round to get their guy, but unlike the Falcons, they didn’t have to give up a future first-round pick in the process. While the Giants targeted...
It’s been a busy offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders as the franchise aims to right the ship after falling to 4-13 last season. The team has made several changes to the roster, including adding quarterback Geno Smith via trade with the Seattle Seahawks. However, on Monday, the organization made a notable move to improve the front office with someone with Super Bowl experience.
Reports indicate that the Raiders have signed former Philadelphia Eagles staffer Anthony Patch, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Patch has worked with the Eagles since 2002 and has won two Super Bowls...
The San Francisco 49ers made many roster sacrifices this offseason as they financially prepare themselves to sign quarterback Brock Purdy to a huge contract extension. Though, the former Mr. Irrelevant is not the only offensive talent they are prioritizing. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to All-Pro George Kittle, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history after finalizing a four-year, $76.4 million new deal at the end of April.
He had no doubts about getting pen to paper, but the 49ers have been known to engage in lengthy contract talks in the past. Kittle’s last extension, which was inked...
After the draft, quarterback is still a major question mark for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While they added Will Howard in the sixth round, he likely isn’t expected to start this year. Mason Rudolph is currently penciled in as the Steelers’ starter. However, Aaron Rodgers is still a free agent. He could eventually decide to sign […]
Quinn Ewers didn’t do enough during the 2024 campaign to warrant being one of the first quarterbacks off the draft board. Still, it was a surprise when the Texas signal caller slid all the way to the seventh round, and he was ultimately the final QB taken when he was selected by the Dolphins at No. 231.

There was some initial speculation about Ewers’ fall down the draft board. His lack of ball protection (12 interceptions, 10 fumbles in 2024) was assumed to be the main culprit, but there were also...
The Seattle Seahawks aggressively changed their quarterback lineup this offseason. Sam Darnold and Jalen Milroe will handle snaps this fall, with the former the favorite to lead the offense. The latter, though, is going the Jayden Daniels route to prepare for the 2025 season.
Daniels broke out as the NFL’s top rookie for the Washington Commanders. The Rookie of the Year revealed he turned to a Virtual Reality headset to work his progressions as a passer. Milroe is going with the same preparation, he shared to Seattle Sports.
“I’m going to utilize that,” Milroe told Cameron Van Til of Seattle...
It is the fans that ultimately decide who will be enshrined into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame each year. It was announced Monday that the fans chose Julian Edelman for the honor.
They got it wrong.
Edelman certainly is a worthy inductee, but it shouldn’t have been his time to enter the Hall of Fame. The distinction should have gone to Adam Vinatieri, who Edelman beat out on the fan vote along with Logan Mankins.
Recency bias had to be at play with Edelman helping spearhead the second half of New England’s dynastic run with memorable performances. Vinatieri’s...
For as much as Mike Florio jabs Aaron Rodgers for his bevy of conspiracy theories and against-the-grain beliefs, Florio loves putting the tin foil hat on himself. Despite weeks of non-news on the Rodgers front, Florio is hard at work drumming up more storylines. Appearing on Rich Eisen’s show Monday, Florio offered up his latest […]
The Baltimore Ravens are pulling the plug on the Justin Tucker era.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Ravens have released Justin Tucker after 13 years with the organization. The NFL is investigating sexual misconduct allegations against Tucker by 16 women.
The Ravens used a sixth-round pick (186th overall) on Arizona kicker Tyler Loop, a strong indicator that Tucker was on borrowed time in Baltimore. The Ravens decided to move forward with Loop less than two weeks after the draft and chose not to wait for the NFL’s investigation against Tucker to conclude.

The San Francisco 49ers have been in contract extension talks with quarterback Brock Purdy throughout the offseason. With training camp approaching, general manager John Lynch opened up about the negotiations, and it sounds like a deal could be reached soon.
During a guest appearance on the “Unbuttoned” podcast hosted by Chris Simms, Lynch shared some details about what’s going on with Purdy’s contract talks. The 49ers’ general manager claims the starting quarterback and the organization have had some positive discussions and that both sides are “making progress.”
“Yeah, I can tell you, we’ve made it a practice not to talk...
