The trio of first round picks from 2022 has impressed.
The Jets are picking up the fifth year option on all three of their first round Draft picks from 2022, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, and Garett Wilson, and Jermaine Johnson.
First round Draft picks in the NFL receive a four year contract that comes with a team option for the fifth year. The catch is the team must decide whether to exercise that option after the player’s third season. The Jets had three first round picks in 2022, thus they have three options to decide upon.
The price of the...
Now that the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected their 2025 draft class, we will be breaking down those seven players more in-depth as the offseason progresses. Personally, I love to do contextualization of players in niche areas. Today, I will present one on RB Kaleb Johnson, the Steelers’ third-round selection this year out of Iowa. Specifically, […]
The San Francisco 49ers will turn to 11 potential impact newcomers for 2025. The 11 represents the 49ers‘ 2025 NFL Draft class.
A 12th rookie is one to watch in front of Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch and company, though.
The 49ers have seen undrafted players shark their way up the roster before. Defensive lineman Kevin Givens comes to mind. San Francisco won the 2019 season NFC title with Kendrick Bourne impacting the passing attack. Even former starting defenders Emmanuel Moseley and Azeez Al-Shaair came after not hearing their name called during their own draft weekend.
This 2025 undrafted free agent...
ESPN recently published Matt Miller’s top 100 best picks, steals, and fits from the 2025 NFL Draft, and the Chicago Bears weren’t just well represented. They weren’t just mentioned in the top ten. His number one choice was Chicago’s first second-round pick, whom Miller called one of his “favorite players throughout this process.”
1. Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears (Pick 2-39)
My final overall ranking: No. 13
Burden was my top wide receiver in the class (I’m counting Travis Hunter as a two-way player), and he landed in a great situation with the Bears...
The Cowboys still have a pressing need at wide receiver behind CeeDee Lamb. Owner Jerry Jones said they are continuing to examine ways they can improve the team.
“We’ll continue to always look to improve our football team,” Jones said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.
Cowboys’ executive Stephen Jones said third-year WR Jalen Brooks and second-year WR Ryan Flournoy have the potential to become their second receiver, but he doesn’t think they are there yet.
*“Those guys have potential to be a No. 2, but they’re not there yet. They haven’t done it. They haven’t hit that...
The fifth round pick from Florida State never suited up for the Jets.
Jets quarterback Jordan Travis announced in a social media post that he is retiring from football due to an injury he suffered in his final college game.
The Jets drafted Travis in the fifth round in 2024 hoping he would be able to rehab his injury and eventually develop into a quality NFL signal caller. He spent his entire rookie year on the Non-Football Injury list, which meant he was not healthy enough to practice.
It’s sad to see a player like Travis lose his NFL dream....
A lot to get excited about
With the 2025 NFL Draft in the books, now begins the long, slow trudge through the rest of the offseason until training camp starts in late July. There’s plenty to be excited about with the Minnesota Vikings, including their young quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, who heads into the season as the unquestioned starter.
Head Coach Kevin O’Connell sat down with Kirk Morrison and Bruce Murray of the SiriusXM NFL Blitz program on Tuesday, and he got an opportunity to give an update on McCarthy’s progress following last year’s season-ending meniscus injury.
Among other things, O’Connell...
The Kansas City Chiefs have made six roster moves on Wednesday, including releasing TE Anthony Firkser.
The full list of moves includes:
Firkser, 29, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard back in 2017. He lasted just a few months in New York before he was waived and later signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad.
Kansas City brought Firkser back on a...
Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver room was lacking. DK Metcalf should change that this year. He and George Pickens should make an amazing duo. However, that hinges on Pickens being with the Steelers for the 2025 season. Recent reports have indicated that the Steelers could trade Pickens. Nothing materialized during the 2025 NFL […]
Elijah Moore to the Bills made sense until the Browns added a new NFL free agency tender on him
The Cleveland Browns made two splashes in the NFL draft (trading down from the second pick and drafting Shedeur Sanders), but holes remained on their roster. Immediately following the draft, we looked at four wide receivers and three safeties that we believed could help fill two of those holes on the Browns roster.
This week, one of those receivers, Elijah Moore, took a visit with the Buffalo Bills, then Cleveland GM Andrew Berry placed a seldom-used unrestricted tender tag on the...
The Packers will wear a “Rivalries” uniform against a divisional rival next year
Lost in the mix of all the draft news, Nike and the NFL have announced a new venture. According to a Nike press release, they and the NFL have partnered on an “NFL Rivalries” program that will see each team receive a “community-inspired” uniform over the next four seasons.
Per the press release, the AFC East and NFC West will wear these uniforms in 2025, the AFC South and NFC North will get them in 2026, the NFC East and AFC West will get them in 2027...
Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald said he has "zero control" whether he's voted into the Hall of Fame and is at peace either way.
