New York Giants’ rookie Abdul Carter is the latest player known to have received a prank phone call during the draft. Carter’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Carter received a call telling him he was about to be selected with the Jacksonville Jaguars on the clock at No. 2.

Jermaine Johnson announced the New York Jets have picked up his fifth-year option for the 2026 season.

Johnson suffered a torn Achilles in Week 2 against the Titans and missed the rest of the 2024 season. A standard Achilles rehab takes about six months and Johnson should have time to be ready for the 2025 season.

The Las Vegas Raiders still have some need areas after the NFL Draft and there are some players available in free agency. Here are some possible fits:

Keenan Allen:

The Raiders could use another veteran wide receiver on a short-term deal and Allen makes some sense as a depth piece. Remember, he’s played under new Raiders’ wide receiver coach Chris Beatty in the past four years. It would be a smooth transition.

Rasul Douglas:
