Pro Football Hall of Famer John Elway was reportedly driving in a horrific golf cart accident that has his close friend and former NFL agent, Jeff Sperbeck, on life support.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Elway and Sperbeck were involved in a golf cart accident in La Quinta, California, on Saturday night. According to TMZ, Sperbeck “fell off the back of the moving vehicle, rolled and hit his head on asphalt,” leaving him seriously injured.
Later in the evening, TMZ confirmed that John Elway was the one driving the cart when the terrible accident happened. The two-time Super Bowl champion...
Our staff makes their picks for the best Detroit Lions undrafted rookie free agent signings in the 2025 class.
For the past 14 years, the Detroit Lions have had at least one undrafted rookie make their initial 53-man roster. But with the team’s strong and deep roster, is this the year that streak finally ends?
In the next installment of our 2025 Detroit Lions draft recap roundtable, our staff makes their choices for the UDFA with the best chance to make an impact and be that player who makes the 53-man roster. You can see the entire [**list of reported...
The Patriots are in the process of turning over their roster.
Ever since Mike Vrabel was hired as their new head coach, the New England Patriots’ roster has undergone a major transformation process — one that has led to some high-profile departures. The latest among those is long snapper Joe Cardona, who was released on Tuesday after 10 years and a combined 173 games with the organization.
Cardona is just one of several veterans to get handed his walking papers over the last few months. Before him, the Patriots also released fellow team captains David Andrews and Ja’Whaun Bentley while...
I’m sensing a theme…
What was the biggest issue with the Buffalo Bills in 2024?
The quarterback was the MVP. The offensive line was great. The running backs were fantastic.
The wide receivers had their concerning moments in games, but didn’t stop the team from fielding the best offense in franchise history. The tight ends underperformed relative to expectations coming into Dalton Kincaid’s second year, but was anybody screaming for additions there?
Most people would say that defense was the most significant (not only) issue with the Bills last season, but let’s go deeper than that. Where specifically on defense?...
Thirty years after drafting TE Mark Bruener out of Washington, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected his son, LB Carson Bruener, also from the University of Washington. Fittingly, Carson Bruener sat in the same chair in the same cabin when the Steelers called him as his father did. But Carson Bruener is more than just his father’s […]
Here are your daily New Orleans Saints links.
The New Orleans Saints made two strong draft picks on the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft, including quarterback Tyler Shough.
Now that the draft is in the books, let's look at what the Black and Gold might still need.
Who takes your top honors?
Nobody knows if any of the eight players the Packers selected last week are going to be any good. Even the closest thing to a sure thing — which is probably first round pick Matthew Golden — still has to make the uncertain leap to the NFL, find a role on the Packers’ offense, and make his way through the process of becoming a professional football player.
But there’s a lot to like from Green Bay’s 2025 draft class. So who’s your favorite?
I lean toward the obvious answer, circling back to Golden. He’s just...
One thing Bill Belichick hated throughout his legendary tenure as New England Patriots head coach was distractions.
But ahead of his first season in Chapel Hill, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer is turning himself into a sideshow.
Belichick recently went viral for his absolutely bizarre interview with “CBS Mornings.” Aside from a few incredibly awkward answers, the cringeworthy sit-down made it seem as though Jordon Hudson, Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, could be a consistent source of drama.
The media storm prompted former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson to suggest a very, very bold move for the North Carolina Tar Heels....
Copy and paste from the last decade.
For what seems like the tenth consecutive year, the Atlanta Falcons are not projected to have any compensatory draft picks for the 2026 NFL Draft.
In fact, the Falcons last had compensatory picks in 2022, so it’s not like it never happens. It’s just fairly rare, given that the team rarely has big-ticket free agents walking and is typically as aggressive in free agency as their dollars allow. It happened this year with Drew Dalman, but given the compensatory selection formula I’m not even going to pretend to understand, [Over The Cap projects...
Did the Giants have a second home run draft in two years?
As the dust from the 2025 NFL Draft settles, we can get some perspective on the New York Giants draft class.
The full story of the class won’t be written for a while yet, and three years is standard when it comes to evaluating a class. The very earliest impression is that this could be a very strong class, and the Giants seemingly got value at almost every pick.
GM Joe Schoen’s work has been almost universally praised around the NFL media ecosystem. In aggregate, the only team...

Hurleman started out his collegiate journey as a running back at Colgate. With the Raiders, he played in 35 games and made 23 starts over four seasons. He was the starting running back in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, rushing 92 times for 346 yards and one touchdown in...
The Pittsburgh Steelers parted ways with senior offensive assistant Mike Sullivan earlier this offseason. They did not announce the news, nor did anybody report on it until we pointed it out. Since then, however, multiple outlets have corroborated it, one more charitably than the other. Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review for example, reported the […]
