Hard as it is to believe, the NFL regular season is half over. With that somewhat depressing fact out of the way, may as well take the time to review the Houston Texans’ at the mid-terms.

There’s been enough time to think rationally about the demoralizing loss to the putrid New York Jets. Whether relevant or not now that Kenyon Green is gone and Nico Collins is back, that game illustrated the floor at which the Texans offense can operate.

Talent is on the line, execution isn’t.
When you face the New York Jets, authors of the infamous Butt-Fumble play, it’s hard for your offensive line to overcome the specter of that historic mishap. Unfortunately, Chris Strausser, Houston Texans offensive line coach, helped his unit do just that.
When head coach DeMeco Ryans announced Strausser was joining the staff in early 2023, a fair bit of head scratching came with it.

It’s a battle of midwestern teams tonight on SNF.
Welcome to the end of the Sunday schedule for week 9. As you have noticed, the Houston Texans have not featured because they decided to lay an egg on Thursday night instead.
Good for them, get it out of the way early, I say.
In the meantime, we have a midwestern hootenanny between the Indianapolis Colts, who will not feature Anthony Richardson because he was tired or something, and the Minnesota Vikings who are somehow winning despite having Sam Darnold as their quarterback.
