Deep breaths, everyone – this doesn’t appear to be anything serious at all.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was being tended to by the Steelers’ training staff during Tuesday’s practice. According to Brooke Pryor, it looked like Rodgers was stepped on during team drills.
“Aaron Rodgers looked like he got stepped on during a team period and he came up a little gingerly,” Pryor posted on X. “He stayed in for one more handoff then came out a rep early. He was rubbing his right calf. He’s down on a knee behind the team period now, massaging his calf on...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have three talented covermen who view themselves as No. 1s. Still, there’s somewhat of a hierarchy where Jalen Ramsey sits at the top.
When the Steelers visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 16, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay and Ramsey will be tasked with guarding Ja’Marr Chase, a Triple Crown winner last season. On Tuesday’s episode of “The Pivot Podcast,” co-host and former Pittsburgh safety asked what the arrangement will be in checking Chase.
“That’s me,” Ramsey said. “That’s J. That’s (No.) 5 for now. And Joey’s gonna get his (opportunities). But that’s 5 right now. That’s...
UNITY TWP., PA — Aaron Rodgers is a football player, not an astronaut. Taking the field at St. Vincent College in a new-age helmet, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback feels more like the latter than the former.
Rodgers, a four-time Associated Press NFL MVP, had won the same helmet for the first 20 years of his pro career. League equipment rules have forced him to try out a few others since he joined Mike Tomlin’s team, but he’s currently in the earlier stages of a Goldilocks sort of situation.
“Yeah, I still don’t like it,” Rodgers said about his current lid...
Through the first three years of his career, Connor Heyward hasn’t made much of an impact. He’s been stuffed down on the depth chart, and playing time in 2025 seems even more unlikely now that the Steelers have acquired Jonnu Smith. However, that may change in a big way, thanks to a new quarterback being […]
A lot about the upcoming season will be different for Jalen Ramsey. Different city, different jersey colors and — most importantly — different roles within the Pittsburgh Steelers defense.
At his previous stops, the three-time first-team Associated Press All-Pro has been needed at cornerback, covering the opposition’s biggest receiving weapon. With Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay alongside him in the Steelers’ secondary, Ramsey will have much more runway to be more of a chess piece.
“I’ve always wanted to be able to move around and kind of be in a game plan, really,” Ramsey said Tuesday on “The Pivot...
Jalen Ramsey has been one of the best corners in the NFL during his career. This offseason, the Steelers traded for him, starting a new chapter in his story. He’s done a lot, including win a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. However, Ramsey was originally drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he recently […]
Tuesday will be the last day the Pittsburgh Steelers spend at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for training camp. It will also likely be the last training camp in the 21-year career of Aaron Rodgers. The four-time MVP was asked about his experience in Latrobe, to which he expressed great gratitude.
“I’ll miss this experience,” Rodgers said. “It’s really special to make this walk down the hill every day and see the fans and the crowd, even when it’s a hot day like today. It’s pretty special.”
In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show after signing with the Steelers,...
UNITY TWP., Pa. — The Pittsburgh Steelers will close training camp with their final full practice session on Tuesday at St. Vincent College. The club will break camp on Wednesday and return to Pittsburgh for a joint practice on Thursday with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
You can count Steelers quarterback a fan of the St. Vincent experience.
Rodgers spoke with the media on Tuesday before his final practice, and called St. Vincent a “special place” that he’ll miss.
“As much as I look forward to my bed and not have to worry about bed bugs at times, I’ll miss this...
UNITY TWP., Pa. — Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Will Howard confirmed that he suffered his broken right pinky finger due to a quarterback/center exchange in last Tuesday’s practice. He called it a “freak accident.”
“It sucks. Every ounce of me wants to be out there playing and I’m just kind of sitting here doing nothing. It kills me,” Howard said.
“It was during a team run period. I took the snap and it felt like I jammed my finger real bad. I played the next two plays, I threw the ball with it. It didn’t feel right. I couldn’t really...
Joey Porter Jr. was the young rising CB1 on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster, but he might have to bide his time in covering No. 2 receivers for now. Jalen Ramsey is in town, and Mike Tomlin made it clear to them who is the top dog. Ramsey was asked if there was a struggle for […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers have given several veteran days off to respective players throughout camp. One player who has missed a week of practice due to injury, though, is wide receiver Calvin Austin.
The severity of the injury, and exactly what the injury was remained under wraps for quite some time. The Steelers didn’t seem overly concerned about it, but questions still remained. Now, we have been given some clarity on the issue.
Austin is dealing with a minor abdominal injury, per Alan Saunders of Steelers Now.
“While Austin is entering the final season of his contract, Austin’s agent, Rodney Williams,...
The wait for Aaron Rodgers took up most of this offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While it seems like they always knew that they’d land Rodgers, nothing was guaranteed until the deal was done. Now, the question is about how much he can help their offense. When training camp opened, things didn’t look great. Rodgers […]
