The Pittsburgh Steelers need a quarterback, and the 2025 NFL Draft class could provide an answer there for the franchise. Just don’t expect Alabama’s Jalen Milroe to be that guy this year. At least, that’s how The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo sees things. In a piece for The Athletic Thursday morning looking at the AFC North […]
Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs has had criminal animal charges that were pending for nearly a year dropped in court hearing on Wednesday, according to a statement from his attorney.
Buggs had been charged with animal cruelty last May and then was arrested again for domestic violence burglary in June. The pair of arrests last summer caused Buggs to be released by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Buggs was initially convicted of two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty last July and was ordered to serve 60 days of hard labor.
After a plea agreement that reduced the domestic violence...
Who will be the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first round pick? One week from today, we’ll know. But their choice seems as uncertain as ever. This year perhaps more than any in recent memory has been difficult to nail down in terms of position and prospect. Still, we’ll use our Steelers Depot “Blue’s Clues” to create a […]
Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt has stepped down as a head coach in the UFL, the team announced on Wednesday.
Whisenhunt had been in his first year as the head coach of the Memphis Showboats, but had already missed one game to start the spring season.
Offensive line coach Jim Turner replaced Whisenhunt when he missed the season opener on March 30, after taking a leave of absence for undisclosed reasons. Whisenhunt returned to coach the next two games, but is now leaving for good, with Turner set to replace him.
“The time has come for me to...
The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016, and the evidence of their desperation to change that is staring us in the face. It’s right there on the team’s roster when you filter for position, examining the quarterbacks. They don’t have a depth chart right now—but they also don’t have a starting quarterback. And […]
Player: DL DeMarvin Leal Stock Value: Down Reasoning: Entering his fourth season, the Steelers still have no idea if DeMarvin Leal can help them along the defensive line. As a former third-round pick, he has offered little return on investment. While injury is a factor here, he is facing a pivotal season, which will start […]
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ two major national narratives surrounding Aaron Rodgers and T.J. Watt have nothing to do with one another. That is the view of Gerry Dulac, the most prominent Steelers reporter for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. With the team waiting for Rodgers to sign a contract and attempting to sign Watt to an extension, some […]

🏈 Free-agent running back Nick Chubb remind everyone that he’s available.
“They’ve already wrote my ending when I’m just getting started,” Chubb said.
Chubb recorded four straight1,000-yard seasons with the Browns before suffering a severe knee injury in Week 2...
Some in league circles believe the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking silly these days. As Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan wait on a 41-year-old, potentially over-the-hill Aaron Rodgers to make a final decision, the proud franchise doesn’t appear to be operating like it had in its glory days. Former Steelers tailback Merril Hoge recently defended the team’s ownership on WTAE’s “4 The Record.”
The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2017. They’ve become a model of consistency, albeit a mediocre variety. Pittsburgh has gone 10-7 in consecutive seasons — good enough to make the playoffs, but not to make any...
The Cleveland Browns allowed RB Nick Chubb to hit free agency, and he is defiant amidst the deafening silence. To date, there has been no team expressing much interest in him, including the Browns. Given his recent injury history, the skepticism is understandable, yet disheartening. One of the truly great “football players” and simply people […]
Would the Steelers really wait for Aaron Rodgers until training camp to sign? The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to sit around and wait for Aaron Rodgers, but how long are they prepared to wait? HC Mike Tomlin wasn’t intentionally setting a deadline, but by way of dismissing a timeline, he said that training camp was a […]
