Following a tough loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with an unrecognizable defense (and without several starters), the Seattle Seahawks head to Florida looking for a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, crucial to their playoff hopes. Jacksonville is 4-1, and the Seahawks have had a hard time in recent years beating teams above .500. However, they have the best winning streak on the road. Which of these taboos will be broken next Sunday?
It’s going to be a great matchup.
Let’s go preview this game!

Between the magical Seattle Mariners playoff run, the start of Kraken hockey, and these fascinating Seattle Seahawks, college football almost seems like an afterthought right now.
This isn’t a knock on Pacific Northwest football, they are well represented right now, especially with the Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks. No, it just feels like one of those weird years in college football. The NIL era combined with the 12 team playoff format, has created a parity we have not seen, maybe in the history of the sport. The game is changing, which I think is both good and bad, and the...

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The results are in for this week’s Seahawks Reacts survey! After a tough loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the confidence rating among fans has dropped from 98 to 90 percent, which is not too bad and is still among the best in the league. Maybe the concern is over the banged up nature of the defense (a hopefully short-term problem)...

There are only two games on the entire NFL schedule in which both teams are above .500 entering Week 6:
Seattle Seahawks (3-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1)
San Francisco 49ers (4-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1)
The 49ers-Buccaneers is the lead game on CBS at 1:25 pm PT, so they get Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and a huge section of the country tuned in for a matchup that was flexed to the late slot since the Cincinnati Bengals at Green Bay Packers is unlikely to be competitive.
The Seahawks vs. Jags will be on FOX in the singleheader slot, which...

The Seattle Seahawks will have defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence available to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He missed last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a bruised quad, but his injury was expected to be short term.
I hope you enjoyed the good news portion of this article, because that’s pretty much it in terms of injured players returning to the lineup. Nick Emmanwori will be a full go after hurting his ankle again against Tampa Bay, but that was largely expected after he returned and finished the game following his injury.

Last year, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald introduced the weekly captain system. This was a departure from the season long captains under Pete Carroll. This week, tight end AJ Barner, as well as linebackers Ernest Jones IV and Chazz Surratt have been named game captains for the Week 6 game at the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is the second time Barner and Jones have been named game captains this season.
Barner continues his successful sophomore campaign after catching two touchdowns last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On the season, Barner has 14 receptions for 134 yards and four touchdowns....

As many of you are likely aware, Google searches are … different these days.
When you search for the latest Seattle Seahawks news, highlights, analysis, and quotes, you’ll see an AI search result at the top. AI may stand for Artificial Intelligence, but in many instances it might as well stand for Accuracy Impaired, and you may end up not finding what you were looking for. It can be as irritating and frustrating as whenever the Seahawks try to run a screen pass.
When you look up what is next for the Browns at quarterback or the NFL draft, you’ll...

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Dareke Young is entering his fourth season in the league, and so far he’s making the most of his increased role.
While Young has sparingly played on offense throughout his Seahawks career (and still isn’t playing a whole lot now), he’s carved out a fairly important role as one of Seattle’s primary kick returners. This may seem minor, but with kick return rates way up thanks to new rule changes, there’s a renewed emphasis on fielding competent returners, and Young has gone from exclusively a gunner to someone who’s proven he’s dangerous with the ball in...

Let’s start out with the positive injury news for a change. DeMarcus Lawrence practiced fully and looks like he’ll return against the Jacksonville Jaguars after hurting his thigh early in the Thursday Night Football contest against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. His possible presence will be even more welcome considering Derick Hall’s oblique injury suffered against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which will keep the third-year EDGE out against Jacksonville.
Safety Nick Emmanwori was also a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. Emmanwori returned against the Buccaneers and was a large part of the defensive game plan. He tweaked...
