Seahawks-Jaguars final injury report: Depleted defense only gets DeMarcus Lawrence back

The Seattle Seahawks will have defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence available to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He missed last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a bruised quad, but his injury was expected to be short term.

I hope you enjoyed the good news portion of this article, because that’s pretty much it in terms of injured players returning to the lineup. Nick Emmanwori will be a full go after hurting his ankle again against Tampa Bay, but that was largely expected after he returned and finished the game following his injury.

None of Riq Woolen (concussion), Devon Witherspoon (knee), or Julian Love (hamstring) is expected to play. They are all listed as doubtful, which has historically meant not playing. This will likely be Witherspoon’s fourth missed game of the year, as well as Love’s third and Woolen’s first. Ty Okada, D’Anthony Bell, Derion Kendrick, Nehemiah Pritchett, and the soon-to-be elevated Shaquill Griffin will have to step up this Sunday.

As expected, outside linebacker Derick Hall will not play and indeed could be out until after the bye week after hurting his oblique muscle. Offensive lineman Josh Jones, who’s the top reserve tackle on the roster, remains out with a hamstring injury.

That Week 8 bye can’t come fast enough.
