That’s right, we’ve got another game in Europe. The NFL’s latest trip to London sees the Los Angeles Rams as the “road team” versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, who lost to the Seattle Seahawks last week. We need to see the Jaguars beat the Rams, much in the way the Jags beat the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara. NFL Network has this game at 6:30 am PT, which is why the open thread is up this early.
The main game in the 10 am PT window is the Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings. Will the Eagles lose a third game...

The Seattle Seahawks secondary has been fighting an uphill battle since Week 2. It’s not been smooth sailing in the attempt to get even half of the original starting defensive backs on the field.
Saturday afternoon the Seahawks released their final injury report ahead of the late Monday Night matchup with the Houston Texans.
Derick Hall remains sidelined with the oblique issue that knocked him out against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The return of Demarcus Lawrence to that edge position remains impeccable timing. Macdonald indicated that Hall is on pace to return after the bye week.
As to the rest...

The Seattle Seahawks have named their captains for their prime time home game against the Houston Texans on Monday night.
This week, offensive tackle Charles Cross, defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, and punter Michael Dickson have the captain honors. This is the second time Cross has been named game captain this season.
Charles Cross has been off to another strong start. With an overall PFF score of 77.4, Charles Cross comes in as the 11th best offensive tackle this season. Even more notable from PFF is a pass block score of 83.1 for Cross, good enough for seventh best in...

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country.
Happy Saturday, Seattle Seahawks fans! It’s time to see how you voted in this week’s SB Nations Reacts survey.
Last week’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars has predictably risen confidence in the direction of the franchise. Surveyed Seahawks fans sit at 97 percent, up from an already high 90 percent. It’d take a lot at this point to tank this below the 90s at this rate.
Next up for the...

The Seattle Seahawks beat the Jacksonville Jaguars last week on the road and now have another game against the Houston Texans. Despite trailing Jacksonville in the AFC South race, I believe Houston will be a much tougher game. I think this is the biggest challenge the Seahawks have faced so far. The Texans have a cornerback truly capable of covering Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Derek Stingley, and Kamari Lassiter is also an excellent CB. Furthermore, they have the best edge duo in Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson. On the offensive side, the pass rush will be tested with an attack of...

Usually I wouldn’t place great importance on a non-conference game relatively early in the season. The upcoming Monday Night Football matchup at Lumen Field between the Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, however, feels a little different.
The Seahawks will have next week off due to their bye. It remains to be seen if Julian Love and Devon Witherspoon will play against Houston after missing the majority of the season so far. Conventional wisdom would tell me that even if Love and Spoon don’t play yet again, they should be ready after the bye week. Then there are players like Derick...

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon looks set to return for the primetime Monday Night Football matchup with the Houston Texans after practicing fully on Friday, one day after being a limited participant. Maybe Spoon just doesn’t want to miss a game in front of a national audience? The last time he played was the contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 after he was injured in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately for him (and the Seahawks), Spoon re-aggravated his knee injury against Arizona and has been out ever since. Let’s hope...

In his second entry of real NFL action, Seattle Seahawks rookie safety Nick Emmanwori found himself involved in all phases of the game, collecting nine tackles and one tackle-for-loss. He was organized exclusively as the Nickel in Mike Macdonald’s 4-2-5 packages, and mostly aligned to the field, regardless if it was the pass-strength or not. From there he was assigned in coverage the cover-3 curl-flat zone, the curl...

The first injury report is out for the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 7 showdown with the Houston Texans, and it’s very encouraging.
Cornerback Riq Woolen appears to be near to a return after being a full participant in practice. He missed last week as a limited participant due to a concussion, so fully practicing to start the week should put him on track to return to the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, cornerback Devon Witherspoon and safety Julian Love were limited participants, which is better than the DNPs they had when they missed the Jacksonville Jaguars game. Having the three most important members...

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-1 and might win the AFC North by default. Their rivals have all changed Week 1 starting quarterbacks either for poor play or injury, and the plot twist is that Joe Flacco was the Cleveland Browns starter on opening day and is now the starter for the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow isn’t coming back any time soon, so Bengals fans get a Joe at QB who knows how to beat an NFC West team in the Super Bowl.
Anyway, the only reason for us to pay attention to this game (outside of scouting future Seahawk Trey...
