The New Orleans Saints are hitting the road again as they visit the Los Angeles Rams in SoFi Stadium on Sunday. Here’s what either outcome could mean.
A victory for the black and gold would be the upset of the weekend in the NFL. The 5-2 Rams are huge home favorites; they’ve won three of their last four, including a demolition of the Jaguars in London.
If the Saints are able to pull off a win in Tyler Shough’s first NFL start, they’ll need to catch LA on a bad day while putting together their...

The move for the future has been made.
Maybe the recent QB change could move the Saints away from the top.
It would be an absolute steal of a contract.

The wait is over, and the future is now in the Big Easy. New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore has informed the team that rookie quarterback Tyler Shough will take the reins as the new starting signal-caller, sending Spencer Rattler to the bench, as first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rattler has put the ball in harm’s way far too many times over the past two games—four interceptions and two fumbles—stalling his momentum as the Saints look for a spark on offense.
Through eight starts in his sophomore season, Rattler has completed 174 of 256 passes (68.0%) for...

Another week, another loss for our beloved New Orleans Saints. In Week 8, New Orleans fell at the hands of division foe Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a 23-3 final score. Next week, the Saints will head west for a date with the Los Angeles Rams, a game in which they’ve already opened as a multiple-score underdog. Here’s how social media reacted to Sunday’s defeat.

The New Orleans Saints defense was a lone bright spot on Sunday, holding the 6-2 Buccaneers to just 212 yards, by far their lowest output of the season. They sacked QB Baker Mayfield three times, and were the first team to hold him without a touchdown pass this year. They held the Bucs to 3 yards per carry on the ground, and only gave up 16 points to the Bucs offense. They held rookie WR Emeka Egbuka to his lowest output of the season save for the game he exited early with an injury two weeks...

The New Orleans Saints once again couldn’t come out on top, falling 23-3 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season at Caesars Superdome. This week, we’re revisiting one of the biggest offseason overreactions—one that’s looking less and less true by the week:
The Saints overpaid for Chase Young.
This offseason, New Orleans inked the 2020 second overall pick to a three-year, $51 million deal worth up to $57 million, with $33 million guaranteed—a move that didn’t exactly garner rave reviews at the time.
Against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Young turned in another dominant performance...

Even in an embarrassing loss to a divisional rival, there are some positive takeaways.
Both Saints QBs get their grades for week 8, and even with different circumstances, they get the same grade.
Head coach Kellen Moore has not committed to a QB yet this week, but his actions may have shown what decision to make.

The New Orleans Saints opened their divisional account when they hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Here’s a quick look at all that went down.
Spencer Rattler got the Saints up and running on the game’s first drive with a pair of 10-yard passes to Rashid Shaheed and Devaughn Vele, but his fumble soon after was recovered by Lavonte David to give the visitors the ball.
But Tampa Bay was unable to make anything of the turnover, with Chase Young and Justin Reid getting to Baker Mayfield to force a punt.
The Saints were then able...

The New Orleans Saints dropped to 1-7 after being outplayed heavily by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This was the second week of being totally outclassed and seemed to be moving in the wrong direction. While a 1-7 record is never fun, it isn’t always the worst thing in the world.
It finally happened! Despite having one win through eight weeks, the Saints only gained control of the first overall pick on Sunday after their loss to the Buccaneers and the New York Jets’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Now in possession of the first overall pick,...

Sunday evening, we saw the New Orleans Saints fall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-3 and to 1-7 on the season. We also saw Kellen Moore bench Spencer Rattler and put Tyler Shough in at quarterback late in the 3rd quarter. Moore told the media after the game that he made that decision because offense needed a spark and he was trying to get something going. Unfortunately, the offense still was unable to get into the end zone as Shough finished the game 17 of 30 for 128 yards.
This week, the Saints will hit the road for LA in...
