Who was the Saints’ breakout player vs. the Cardinals?

A new era of New Orleans Saints football is officially underway—but their comeback fell short in the 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday’s Week 1 matchup.

The breakout player from the Saints’ season-opening loss to the Cardinals proved why he won his position battle this offseason: P Kai Kroeger.

On his four attempts, Kroeger pinned two inside the 20-yard line for a total of 202 air yards...

Saints safety Julian Blackmon could miss significant time due to injury

It is never easy to take positives from losing the first game of the season, but the New Orleans Saints were able to after their 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. One of these positives was that the Saints came out of the game pretty unscathed, but that did not last long. Per Nick Underhill, safety Julian Blackmon suffered a significant injury against the Cardinals.

Blackmon had a fantastic game against the Cardinals and was one of the defensive standouts. At times, he appeared to be the best defensive back on the field. An injury like this is always unfortunate,...

Fortunately for New Orleans, it’s Week 1, and there’s a lot more season to go. Despite the loss, the Saints learned a lot about themselves and can regroup ahead of Week 2.
