Saints draft position after Week 1

Let’s see where New Orleans could be drafting and who could be available.

The importance of the NFL Draft cannot be understated, and this holds true for the New Orleans Saints. If the team wants to slowly get in a better cap position and find cheap improvements, the draft is where that could happen. The Saints’ scouting staff will be monitoring their draft position throughout the season and seeing which players could be available for them to draft, and that is what I will also be doing.

Right now, the Saints are projected to draft at pick 18 in the...

Week 1 of the season has passed, and in the NFC South, two teams had great performances, and two teams struggled.

Carolina Panthers

Regular Season record 0-1

The Carolina Panthers wanted to enter the year with a clean slate after a disappointing 2023 season. Instead, Carolina opened up against their division rival, the Saints, and were dominated 47-10. This loss was a mixture of a lot going wrong for the Panthers and a lot going well for the Saints. Second-year quarterback Bryce Young looked lost at times. For most of the game,...

Our offense vs their defense: Dallas Cowboys

The Saints travel to face the Cowboys this Sunday.

Wow. I’m going to be honest, I expected to the New Orleans Saints to win this past weekend, but I don’t think anybody predicted that. The offense looked fresh, and the defense looked just as good, if not better.

Don’t get too excited though. The Saints have to go from playing one of the worst teams in the league at home to traveling to face one of the best teams in the league this weekend. The Dallas Cowboys also enjoyed a smooth week one. They decimated the Browns 33-17, but if...

In 1971, the Saints finally got their first win against the Cowboys 24-10, and it was in front of their fans at home in the Superdome.
