The New Orleans Saints are coming off back-to-back losses and have officially been eliminated from the playoffs. While playoffs were a long shot when the season started, getting eliminated a month before they start can always be a morale killer. With just five weeks left in the season, the Saints will look to rack up as much momentum as possible before heading into the offseason, and the best place to start is against a division rival. But if the black and gold want any chance of winning, they have to win these key matchups.

Finally, the Buccaneers are back on track after their win against the Arizona Cardinals, but it was not an easy victory. For most of the game, Tampa Bay led, and in the fourth quarter, Arizona fought back and nearly completed the comeback. This did not happen, but the Buccaneers had many opportunities to seal this game and did not, which seems like the theme of this season. The Saints have finished their second practice ahead of their rematch with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints made two changes to Thursday’s injury report, adding rookie safety Jonas Sanker as he was absent with a head injury. Wide receiver Chris Olave was upgraded to limited after missing Wednesday’s practice due to a back injury he suffered in practice ahead of last week’s matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
The Buccaneers made three changes to their injury report for Thursday, upgrading starters Chris Godwin Jr, Bucky Irving, and Baker Mayfield to full participants.
