SB Nation Reacts Results: How confident are you that the Saints are headed in the right direction?

It’s Week 7 and the New Orleans Saints (1-5) are on the road in the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears (3-2). Last week, we saw the Saints fall at home to the New England Patriots in another well fought game that while they made their mistakes, was lost by just one score. It was also Spencer Rattler’s best game in New Orleans as he continues to improve every week. So, in this week’s reacts poll, we asked readers to vote on how confident they are that the Saints are headed in the right direction?

As we ever so quickly inch towards bowl season and the College Football Playoff, one thing we continue to learn week after week is that the race for this year’s National Champion is more open than ever before. Here are some potential Saints’ prospects that I am watching to see how they impact their teams this weekend.

Saints legend Marques Colston shares his thoughts on Spencer Rattler’s performance this season

The New Orleans Saints are at the beginning of a rebuild, and although the record shows a 1-5 start, there are many aspects of the team to feel good about. One of these is QB Spencer Rattler, who has outperformed expectations. When head coach Kellen Moore was named the starter over QB Tyler Shough, many did not expect much from Rattler, and much of the focus was instead on the rookie. Now, when looking at Rattler’s 2025 performances, it’s clear to see the young QB has developed and continues to improve. Again, the Saints only have 1 victory this season,...

Key matchups: Saints vs. Bears

The New Orleans Saints are sitting at 1-5 on the season. While they have clawed and fought their way through the season, they have fallen just short on multiple occasions. Now the black and gold will travel to Chicago and face the Bears as heavy underdogs. If New Orleans wants to come out and make a statement win, they’ll have to take advantage of these key matchups.

Kendre Miller vs. the Bears’ run defense

The Saints’ run game has struggled in recent weeks. New Orleans has failed to reach 90 rushing yards in three of their last four matchups...

Friday’s Saints vs. Bears injury report

Friday’s Saints vs. Bears injury report

No, your eyes do not deceive you. The New Orleans Saints had perfect attendance in their final practice ahead of their Week 7 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Every player practiced in full, with just cornerback Isaac Yiadom and defensive tackle John Ridgeway III being given game day designations, as both players are marked questionable.

The Bears are a little less unfortunate. They listed five players as questionable for Sunday’s match, including star defensive lineman Grady Jarrett and standout running back D’Andre Swift. Chicago also has some kicking problems, with starter Cairo Santos being out with a right thigh injury....

Possible moves the Saints can make before the NFL trade deadline

Possible moves the Saints can make before the NFL trade deadline

Last year, when the trade deadline was creeping closer and closer, the feeling around the New Orleans Saints was that this team could be sellers at the trade deadline. If that was the case, which it was, CB Marshon Lattimore was the obvious choice to be traded. This turned out to be the one move the Saints made at the deadline, and looking back at the details of the trade, it was a great move by New Orleans.

Now, back to the present (or future…. get it?)

The NFL trade deadline is less than a month away, and the Saints...

Interview with the Enemy: Chicago Bears

The New Orleans Saints will head to Solider Field to face the Chicago Bears in Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season. To break it down, Bill Zimmerman of Windy City Gridiron joins us to preview Sunday afternoon’s matchup.

NJ: Has Caleb Williams lived up to expectations so far, and how has he improved in his second year through five games?

BZ: I mean, if we’re being honest, no, Caleb Williams has not lived up to expectations. But to be fair, those expectations were set astronomically high. I think based on what a complete trainwreck last season was around him,...

Our defense vs. their offense: Chicago Bears

Our defense vs. their offense: Chicago Bears

An NFC duel between the 1-5 New Orleans Saints and the 3-2 Chicago Bears will take place at Soldier Field this Sunday. After checking in on the black and gold’s offensive match-up, let’s take a look at the defensive comparison.

New Orleans has allowed each opposing quarterback they’ve faced this season to throw for 2+ touchdowns against them thus far. Chicago’s Caleb Williams will be looking to extend that streak, and it seems likely that he will do so as he has already passed for multiple TDs in a single game twice this year.

The Saints’ defense is giving up...
