Klint Kubiak’s history with tight ends bodes well for Brock Bowers

Klint Kubiak’s history with tight ends bodes well for Brock Bowers

“Brock Bowers is WR1”.

That’s the popular retort when the topic of the Las Vegas Raiders lacking a true top wide receiver when Klint Kubiaks offense is discussed.

Bowers does provide the Silver & Black an elite, position-versatile playmaker at tight end. And it’s that hybrid nature of what the 23-year-old brings to the table that makes relegating the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to purely an in-line tight end a gross mismanagement of a valuable resource. The 6-foot-4 and 235-pound Georgia product is a chess piece that can be moved all around the alignment or formation...

Mike Washington Jr. adds big-play threat to Las Vegas Raiders’ backfield via 2026 NFL draft

Mike Washington Jr. adds big-play threat to Las Vegas Raiders’ backfield via 2026 NFL draft

While the Las Vegas Raiders used the sixth overall selection on running back Ashton Jeanty last year, the offense headed into the 2026 NFL draft needing to find a complement for Jeanty in the backfield. General manager John Spytek found one in the fourth round, adding former Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. to the roster.

Washington gained notoriety during the NFL Combine by measuring in at 6-foot-1, 223 pounds and clocking a 4.33-second 40-yard dash while also recording a 39-inch vertical jump to earn a 9.90 Relative Athletic Score. In a way, that summarized his season as the former...

Raiders fans want a defense tackle added

Raiders fans want a defense tackle added

The NFL draft and the heavy-lifting period of free-agency is over and the Las Vegas Raiders have done a lot of work as they have begun their rebuild in earnest.

Still, like every team, Las Vegas still has some holes to fill and some need areas. So, Raiders’ general manager John Spytek still has some work to do.

We asked our community members last week which position they most wanted to see the Raiders address. The options were defensive tackle, wide receiver, offensive line, cornerback nd linebacker.

Most fans want to see the Raiders add a defensive tackle. It’s understandable....

Better opening field-position would be nice

Better opening field-position would be nice

We often talk about complimentary football and that’s something that was lacking for the Las Vegas Raiders’ in 2025.

Yes, many things went wrong last season and the lack of complimentary football was one of them.

The Raiders’ lagged in overall special-teams play and they weren’t dynamic when it came to creating turnovers. Those issues, in turn, helped put strain on an offense that didn’t need any help when it came to challenges.

A recent X post by NFL analyst Warren Sharp, shows the Raiders were near the bottom of the league when it came to starting drives in opposing...

Jermod McCoy’s film backs up 2026 NFL draft first-round hype for Las Vegas Raiders

Jermod McCoy’s film backs up 2026 NFL draft first-round hype for Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders seemingly got the biggest steal of the 2026 NFL draft, adding former Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy to the roster at the top of the fourth round. The first-round talent was expected to come off the board much earlier than he did, sliding due to concerns over the long-term health of his knee after missing the entire 2025 season with a torn ACL.

However, the hype is justified by McCoy’s performance the previous year.

The 2024 second-team All-American was one of the best cornerbacks in the country, posting the ninth-best coverage grade from Pro Football Focus (89.6)...

Early Look at 2027 Las Vegas Raiders Free Agents

Early Look at 2027 Las Vegas Raiders Free Agents

The 2027 NFL Free Agency period will kick off on March 10th with the negotiation window starting the 7th. It’s a long time till we have to see some Raiders free agents make their move to another team, but for now it’s good to know what could be in the future for the Raiders extension wise, and who could see their spot pushed away. I’ll run through a brief reminder of free agent types, and their compensatory options as well:

Free Agent Types:

Accrued Season: On Roster for 6 or more Regular Season Games

  • UFA: A player with 4...

Can Malik Benson solve the Raiders’ return game woes?

Can Malik Benson solve the Raiders’ return game woes?

Once Klint Kubiak became the Las Vegas Raiders head coach and assembled his staff, general manager John Spytek went to work assembling a roster to put the new lead man in the best possible position to succeed.

Taking over a football team that finished 3-14 the prior year under a veteran head coach that was one-and-done, rebuild is an apt term for Kubiak even if the organization refuses to term it as such. Retooling or reloading is the more preferred term, but there’s no hiding the amount of work required by Spytek and Kubiak to right the ship.

Submit your Las Vegas Raiders mailbag questions!

Mendoza mania is officially underway in Las Vegas, as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, quarterback Fernando Mendoza, has completed his first few practices with the Las Vegas Raiders during rookie minicamp. Of course, there were nine other Raiders’ draft picks and a bunch of undrafted free agents on the field, too. So, we have plenty to go over for this week’s mailbag.

As always, anything Raiders-related is on the table and fire away with anything that’s on your mind. Send your questions my way by either dropping a comment in the comments section below, tweeting at...

Raiders’ rookie linebacker reunited with some big-time college teammates

There are a lot of interesting storylines in the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2026 undrafted free-agent rookie class.

Yet, one of the coolest is a reunion after five years between two new key Raiders’ veteran linebackers and a undrafted rookie play the position.

Some may not realize it, by rookie signing Xavien Sorey has Raiders’ ties.

The Arkansas linebacker began his college career in 2021 at Georgia. He was there for three seasons before transferring to Arkansas.

When Sorey was a freshman linebacker on their eventual National Championship team, he was behind star linebackers Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker before they...

Raiders dedicate a lot of draft capital to Rob Leonard

Raiders dedicate a lot of draft capital to Rob Leonard

The Las Vegas Raiders, of course, opened the 2026 NFL draft by taking Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No.1 overall pick last month.

Still, the team found a way to dedicate a lot of its draft to the defensive side of the ball to help first-year defensive coordinator Rob Leonard. A recent X post by NFL analyst Warren Sharp showed the Raiders spent the eighth most draft capital in the NFL on defense.

The Raiders used six of heir 10 picks on defense as they drafted two safeties, two cornerbacks, a pass rusher and a nose tackle.

The message...
