While the NFL doesn’t release the 2026 schedule until Thursda at 5 p.m. PST, we do know who the Las Vegas Raiders’ opponents will be for next season. Also, the offseason is winding down now that free agency and the draft are in the rearview mirror. So, while we don’t know the specific dates the Raiders will play each opponent this fall, we do know who they will be lining up against.
With that in mind and in anticipation of Thursday’s release, let’s take a look at a few players who were on Las Vegas’ roster in 2025 and will...

The Las Vegas Raiders entered the 2026 NFL draft with a thin secondary and added four defensive backs to solve that problem, including former Arizona safety Dalton Johnson. The fifth-round pick may fill more of a backup role in Las Vegas, but he can at least bring a ton of versatility off the bench.
Last season, Johnson split his time almost evenly between strong safety, free safety and nickelback, recording 271, 247 and 233 snaps at each respective position, according to Pro Football Focus. On top of that, he was PFF’s highest graded safety overall (84.8) in the Big 12...

The Las Vegas Raiders invested on their offense this off-season adding veterans Spencer Burford, Jalen Nailor, Kirk Cousins, Tyler Linderbaum, Dareke Young, and Connor Hayward to the offensive side of the ball after spending heavily on defense. Additionally, the Raiders drafted future franchise QB Fernando Mendoza first overall, added receiver Malik Benson, and runningback Mark Washington in the draft class. Las Vegas has built out relatively decent depth on the offensive line this season, and they invested heavily on the offensive side of the ball in 2025 with rookies Dont’e Thornton, Jack Bech at receiver and Caleb Rogers, Charles Grant...

At the Las Vegas Raiders’ recent rookie minicamp there was tangible evidence that there is, at least, a chance that cornerback Jermod McCoy will be ready to play during the 2026 season.
McCoy, a fourth-round pick from Tennessee, was limited in practice during the minicamp. McCoy who tumbled in the draft due to health concerns.
McCoy was considered a top-1o talent and could become a true No.1 cornerback for a team that needs the help. He missed all of last season with a torn ACL. But there are deeper issues. McCoy reportedly had a degenerative knee issue and he may...

The Las Vegas Raiders owner has had a busy weekend, with the Las Vegas Aces ring ceremony and induction into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame. He has become a staple in the Vegas area, but the original reason he moved there hasn’t been as successful.
The Raiders have a 39-62 record since moving to Las Vegas, with one playoff appearance. There has been significant turnover at the head-coaching position, and things continue to fall apart. Fans are excited about what has occurred during the 2026 offseason, including the hiring of Klint Kubiak, and have praised the free-agent and...

The battle is simple in concept: The grizzled aging veteran looking to recapture former glory versus an intriguing and accurate (but older) undrafted free agent.
That’s the easiest way to sum up the upcoming Las Vegas Raiders kicking competition between Matt Gay and Kansei Matsuzawa. But the battle between the 32-year-old Gay and 27-year-old Matsuzawa will be anything but basic.
It’s a kicking competition that shouldn’t be overlooked as the Silver & Black embark on Klint Kubiak’s inaugural season as head coach. And it’s a vital decision point Kubiak’s chosen special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis will make this offseason. Our...

The Las Vegas Raiders owner, Mark Davis, took over the franchise back in 2011 after the death of his father. While the team has only seen two winning seasons during his tenure, Davis has increased the organization’s value with the move to Las Vegas.
Moving to Las Vegas also gave Davis an opportunity to become a staple in Southern Nevada. He became the owner of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces in 2021, and they have won three championships during his tenure. Helping Las Vegas become a sports city led to Mark Davis’s induction into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame...

Where’s the beef?
The classic line from the old-school 1980s Wendy’s commercial is quite apt for the Las Vegas Raiders as the team embarks on the upcoming 2026 campaign. Because that statement can be directly linked to the Silver & Black’s nose tackle spot — a position that has elevated importance due to defensive coordinator Rob Leonard installing a 3-4 base defense.
While the NFL is trending heavily away from base formations — as was the case with the Raiders who deployed a 4-3 base defense but lined up in the nickel 4-2-5 alignment aplenty under former defensive boss Patrick...

Excitement is still high surrounding the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2026 NFL draft class, but the Raiders’ roster still has a few holes. That’s one of our focuses for this week’s mailbag, as well as beginning to look ahead at the upcoming season.
Q: What is the weakest link on the defense currently (position, not player), and would it be worth it to address this season via available free agents or roll with what the Raiders have and target next year’s free agent/draft classes?
A: It has to be defensive tackle. There’s the obvious void at nose tackle, and the two...

The Las Vegas Raiders raised some eyebrows during free agency by signing former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Nailor to a three-year, $35.03 million contract. Nearly $12 million a year is a hefty price tag for a wideout who has never had more than 30 catches and 450 yards in a single season.
Granted, not having to compete for targets with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison should lead to an increase in Nailor’s production with the Raiders. That, along with the former Viking’s fit in Las Vegas, are the reasons Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay listed Nailor as one of five...
