The performance of the offensive line this coming season will dictate much off the success (or lack thereof) the Las Vegas Raiders have in Klint Kubiak’s initial season as an NFL head coach.

Aidan O’Connell has been portrayed as the the lost piece in the Las Vegas Raiders’ quarterback picture.

He has been the subject of trade speculation all offseason and the reasoning is obvious. There is no apparent future for the 2023 fourth-round pick with the franchise. The long-term future, of course, is No. 1 overall pick, rookie Fernando Mendoza and the immediate future may be veteran free-agent addition Kirk Cousins.

The Las Vegas Raiders recently signed wide receiver Brandon Johnson as a free agent this offseason.

Let’s take a closer look at Johnson:

Size:

6-2, 195 pounds.

NFL experience:

He was signed by the Denver Broncos in 2022 as an undrafted free agent. He played 20 games with Denver in 2022-23 and he played three games with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024. He bounced between the Steeelers, Tampa Bay’s and the Broncos’ practice squads in 2025. He was last with the Steelers, who just released him. He has 26 career catches in 23 NFL games.

There’s no doubt that the Las Vegas Raiders imrpoved more than any other team in the AFC West this offseason.

Still, the oddsmakers are not convinced Las Vegas is ready to compete in the division in the 2026 season. According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, the Raiders are 15-1 longshots to win the division this season. The three other teams all have short (good) odds to win the division.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are currently priced as co-favorites at +180, while the defending division champion Denver Broncos are priced just below those two teams at...

It’s been well-documented that the Las Vegas Raiders had arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL last season. Addressing the trenches was one of the front office’s biggest priorities this offseason, adding Tyler Linderbaum to the roster in free agency by making him the highest-paid interior offensive lineman in the league from a dollars per year standpoint, with a three-year, $81 million contract.
