On Sunday night, the Green Bay Packers got one of their more complete games of the season in their 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But it was hardly perfect, as the team had plenty of issues in the first half that required a big second half performance to overcome.
Three three-and-outs before halftime were a sore spot that the team needs to address, and the running game was barely functioning for much of the game. Thankfully, turning the keys over to Jordan Love and letting him go wild worked, but the coaching staff will surely preach the value of...

Earlier today, it was revealed that the Green Bay Packers had signed cornerback Tyron Herring to the practice squad, based on him being spotted by the media at the Packers’ Wednesday practice. What we now know, though, is that Green Bay actually signed two practice squadders today, as the team announced that the Packers had also signed defensive lineman Dante Barnett.
Barnett began playing football for the NFL Academy, the league’s international prep development wing. For example, this year’s team traveled to Bradenton to play IMG Academy, a top prep program, and also hosted St. Thomas Aquinas, another top prep...

The Green Bay Packers held their first practice of the week on Wednesday after a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend. In it, three players were non-participants: receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf), defensive end Lukas Van Ness (foot) and linebacker Nick Niemann (pectoral). Both Wicks and Van Ness were inactive due to injury against the Steelers, while Niemann dropped out of the game with an injury. As of now, the Packers are calling Van Ness’ status day-to-day.
The limited players in practice today for Green Bay were running back Josh Jacobs (calf), receiver Christian Watson (knee), left guard Aaron...

When Green Bay Packers slot receiver Jayden Reed went down with a broken collarbone in Week 2, I thought it would be a long while before we saw him back in action with the team. Reed not only needed surgery to fix his collarbone issue, but he was already dealing with a foot injury that could have used surgery, but he was pushing through.
When the collarbone injury occurred, Reed elected to have both surgeries back-to-back, resulting in this amusing post-op clip.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Reed was seen running during the Packers’ Wednesday practice and was catching footballs...

Earlier this week, the Green Bay Packers lost cornerback Micah Robinson, a 2025 draft pick, when the Tennessee Titans plucked Robinson off the Packers’ practice squad. This left the Packers with just five cornerbacks in practice, all members of the 53-man roster, including two — Bo Melton and Kamal Hadden — who had never played a snap of defense in a regular season game.
To backfill the position, Green Bay brought back Tyron Herring, who originally signed with the team as an undrafted rookie in April. Herring’s biggest moment in preseason action with the Packers was probably stopping Indianapolis Colts...

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd began the regular season on the injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in August. Lloyd’s short time with the Packers has already been marred by health issues, including an emergency appendectomy during the third-round pick’s rookie season.
When asked if Lloyd would be back in the near future, LaFleur responded, “I wouldn’t count on that anytime soon,” on Wednesday. It’s tough to believe that a hamstring issue would take more than two months to recover from, but that’s where Lloyd, who has played all of 10 snaps on offense through two NFL...

Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8 after his stellar performance in the team’s 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.
Love went 29/37 for 360 yards, 3 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a passer rating of 134.2, which is a career-high for any regular season start. Love also tied a franchise record with 20 straight completions originally set by Brett Favre in 2007.
According to Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com, Love is the first quarterback in franchise history to have 350+ passing yards, 3+ passing touchdowns, no interceptions,...

This weekend, the Green Bay Packers’ game will be televised on an impressively small number of local stations around the United States. Their Week 9 matchup with the Carolina Panthers is up against a few unfortunate factors: First, it is not a premier opponent, nor is this game even a divisional matchup; second, it is in the early time slot; and third, it’s on a network that does not have a doubleheader.
That means that many markets that might otherwise see Packers-Panthers are choosing — or are forced by network rules — to air a different game instead. 506sports.com has...

The end of a Hall of Fame career is not always glorious. In fact, it often involves an iconic athlete playing out the string in an unfamiliar place for an unfamiliar team. Think Johnny Unitas with the San Diego Chargers or Brett Favre with the Minnesota Vikings. Think Emmitt Smith with the Arizona Cardinals. Think Randy Moss with the Tennessee Titans or Julio Jones with the Tennessee Titans or DeAndre Hopkins with the Tennessee Titans or Andre Johnson with the Tennessee Titans.
Or think Reggie White with the Carolina Panthers, the Packers’ opponent for this week. As far as NFL...

Sorry for the day delay, but I’ve finally pored through the Green Bay Packers’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers to bring up all the little nuggets about what changed on the team’s depth chart, both going into the game and in-game. Here’s our explainer on who is playing where, why and how often for your Packers.
As always, the number in each cell corresponds to how many real snaps a player has played on offense or defense. We include plays where there was a post-snap penalty (example: holding), but not a pre-snap penalty (example: a false start). Also excluded are...

The Green Bay Packers worked out only two players on Tuesday, with the surprise being that neither was a cornerback. At the moment, the Packers have just five cornerbacks on their 53-man roster, and the team no longer has a practice squad cornerback after the loss of Micah Robinson, who was poached by the Tennessee Titans on Monday.
Instead, the two players that the Packers brought in, per the NFL transaction report, were offensive lineman Laekin Vakalahi and defensive tackle Dante Barnett.
The 6’5”, 320-pound Vakalahi is a former rugby and basketball player who was discovered by Philadelphia Eagles scout...

When the Green Bay Packers won their last Super Bowl in 2010, the biggest in-season addition that the team made was the waiver claim of defensive lineman Howard Green, who helped the Packers get over the injury hump at the position. Green wound up starting in three of the Packers’ playoff games that year, even hitting Ben Roethlisberger’s arm on Nick Collins’ pick six in the Super Bowl.
Green Bay’s defensive tackle room is in a similar need of a jolt this season. First, the team traded away starting nose tackle Kenny Clark to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for...
