On Thursday Night Football, the Cincinnati Bengals pulled a bit of an upset over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Flacco won the duel of old quarterbacks, leading the Bengals to a 33-31 win over Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers despite Pittsburgh being favored on the road by 5.5 points.
Here at APC, a few of us made our week 7 picks before Thursday’s game, correctly picking the Bengals to cover that spread but failing to go with them for the outright win.
Of course, that was just the first of many games on the NFL schedule this week. The Green Bay...

Our Paul Noonan recently wrote a good and, I think, important piece about Jordan Love. You should go read it yourself, obviously, but in short, the takeaway is this: Love is an efficient, effective quarterback whose volume stats take a hit because of the way the Packers run their offense.
This section, in particular, jumped out to me:
The Packers moved slowly under Rodgers in terms of pace of play, but they are glacial under Love, and while Rodgers was happy to check out of a run to a pass, Love is happy, for better or worse, to stick...

As soon as it was announced QB Aaron Rodgers was signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers this year, fans of both the Steelers and and the Green Bay Packers marked their calendars. The teams are set to face off on Sunday Night Football on October 26th, in what will be Aaron Rodgers’ first meeting with his former team since being traded in 2023.
As we head into Week 7 of the 2025 season, both teams look…pretty good so far! Both the Packers and Steelers currently sit at the top of their respective divisions, with the Packers at 3-1-1 and the Steelers...

The Green Bay Packers’ pass rush unit has been one of the most productive in the NFL so far this season in pressuring quarterbacks. Through five games, new arrival Micah Parsons leads the NFL in pressures per game (according to at least one source), and Rashan Gary is operating at nearly a sack-per-game pace.
But while Gary’s sack production has tipped upward, the team has not recorded as many sacks as one would expect with their pressure rate. Some of that is due to facing quarterbacks who get the ball out quickly — including Joe Flacco twice in three games...

Why does Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love not seem as good as he is?
First, I should probably establish that Jordan Love actually is good. After all, you may not think he’s good, because he doesn’t seem as good as he is, which is the point of the article. So, let’s prove that out. For all quarterbacks with at least 100 attempts so far this season, Love is:

There’s a lot of angst in the Packersverse right now. Trading for perhaps the best defensive player in football will do that for you. As will having an embarrassing loss to one of the weaker teams in football and a somewhat just as embarrassing tie to the Dallas Cowboys. Then, the Green Bay Packers followed that up with a… less than convincing nine-point win over the carcass of the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. Multi-score wins are not easy to come by in the NFL. Over half of games last season ended within one score, so any multi-score win is a...

According to my research, only four times in NFL history have two quarterbacks in their 40s each thrown a pass in the same game. Tonight we will have a fifth, when Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco square off on opposite sidelines during Thursday Night Football.
Those two appeared to be on track to make this happen three days ago, when the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Cleveland Browns. But a few days before that game, Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals. Now it will happen four days later than anticipated, as the Bengals host the Steelers this evening to kick...

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Packers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Packers are sitting at 3-1-1 on the season and are on top of the NFC North right now, which has to have Packers fans feeling pretty confident. Take our survey, share your thoughts in the comments, and check back later this week for results!

The Green Bay Packers have seen some exciting flashes from their linebacker duo of Edgerrin Cooper and Quay Walker, but Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals is a big week for them to establish themselves as one of the best LB tandems in the NFL.
Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will have to roll out different gameplans depending on which quarterback ends up starting for Arizona on Sunday, with Jacoby Brissett serving as the team’s starter last week against the Indianapolis Colts while Kyler Murray’s status for Week 7 remains up in the air with a foot injury. However, one...

The Packers are first overall in CALCULATOR this week, and maybe you find that surprising. Honestly, I kind of find it surprising! You know who doesn’t? People who bet on teams to win the Super Bowl. The team with best Super Bowl odds right now is still the Bills at +650, but the Packers are second at +700 (tied with Kansas City), they have a better DVOA, EPA, and PFF grade than Buffalo, and the Bills’ point differential is only one point better than the Packers.
But if you’re surprised, I think you’re right! Because more than anything, I don’t...

You’ve probably seen Jayden Reed’s viral “Packers to the Bowl, bruh” video after surgery on his broken collarbone, but now the Packers’ wide receiver is giving fans a glimpse at what his recovery process looks like beyond anaesthesia-fueled predictions.
Reed broke his collarbone during the Packers’ Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders while hauling in what should have been a 39-yard touchdown pass. The play, Reed’s best of the season, was negated by a holding penalty and Reed’s season was put on hold due to the injury. But now, he’s showing a little bit more of what life has...
