A recent article from FOX Sports has named Giants edge defender Kayvon Thibodeaux as a possible trade candidate ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
In a piece by NFL reporter Ralph Vacchiano, FOX Sports identified one potential trade from each of the 32 NFL teams. Thibodeaux was listed as the New York Giants’ most valuable asset who could potentially be moved if the right offer comes through.

Could the Giants add another dancing elephant to their defensive line?
The New York Giants have a definite type at defensive tackle. They have always loved to take big defensive tackles who also have rare movement skills.
After all, the Giants are the team that originated the “Planet Theory” of drafting.
Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant fits that theory exceptionally well. At 6-foot-3, 331 pounds, Grant is an absolute rock in the middle of the Michigan defense. His size also belies rare movement skills and burst for the position.

The Giants need young talent at this position
The New York Giants have desperately needed assistance across from Dexter Lawrence since GM Joe Schoen sent Leonard Williams to Seattle. Opposing offenses consistently ran the football at the Giants last season whenever Lawrence needed a breather before his injury. After Lawrence was placed on Injured Reserve, Shane Bowen altered his defense to fix the massive liability created by Lawrence’s departure — the Giants NEED depth on their defensive line.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will hold a final workout for the New York Giants on Thursday in Boulder, Colo., per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Sanders, who could be the second quarterback selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, will work out for a “contingent of officials” from the Giants.
The Giants have the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, but have been expected to pass on Sanders — if available — in favor of Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter or Penn State edge defender Abdul Carter.

The reality, however, is that this year’s draft has a good and talented group of receivers, but they have the misfortune of following a fantastically deep and talented class is last year’s draft. NFL Draft prospects are continuing to roll into East Rutherford, N.J. for ‘30’ visits with the New York Giants. The latest eyebrow-raising player to visit is Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, per FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

We’re looking at potential second- and third-day draft prospects
The New York Giants added a number of veteran players in free agency a year ago who helped stabilize the offensive line, at least while the group was healthy. This year, they have kept the band together by re-signing Greg Van Roten and Aaron Stinnie. In the many scenario-based 7-round New York Giants mock drafts I have done leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, I have often selected Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart at No. 34 or via trade back into the later stages of the first round.
I think such a move is a reasonable objecting for Giants GM Joe Schoen.
