The New York Giants are 2-8 through 10 weeks of the season and appear destined for another top-10 draft pick come April.
Despite the poor play, general manager Joe Schoen insists the team is close to turning a corner and becoming serious contenders. He expressed as much during his bye week press conference this past Tuesday.
“Yeah, the results have not been what we wanted them to be. I don’t want to be sitting up here at 2-8. Like that’s not what we want and nobody’s happy about it,” Schoen said. “And I understand that, but I do see progress...
The New York Giants are currently slated to select second overall in the 2025 NFL draft and expectations are that they’ll lean quarterback and finally replace Daniel Jones.
But not everyone is sold on the upcoming quarterback class and some even believe the Giants would be better served by selecting a different position of need.
Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report is one of those people, suggesting general manager Joe Schoen should target Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
*The idea of pairing Dexter Lawrence with Graham is downright frightening. Lawrence is already the game’s best interior defender, with the ability...
New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen was among a large contingent in attendance at Saturday’s game between Colorado and Utah. Still, despite being nearly 1,800 miles from East Rutherford, he couldn’t escape the jeering.
As Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter was warming up, FOX Sports cameras incidentally picked up a fan giving Schoen the business.
Specifically, the fan was heckling Schoen over quarterback Daniel Jones.

The New York Giants were again on the road over the weekend, hard at work scouting some of the top NCAA schools and players during a much-needed Week 11 bye.
General manager Joe Schoen was back on the ground, this time taking in Colorado-Utah, where quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter put on a show.
Local and national scouts were also spread out across the county as the team gathered data in preparation for the 2025 NFL draft.
Here’s a quick look at some of the games where the Giants had a confirmed scouting presence:
Colorado vs. Utah...
We could have some great scouting tape this week.
Good morning New York Giants fans! Happy Saturday and welcome to Week 12 of the 2024 College football season.
The schedule makers are taking a bit of a breath this week, as many of the top teams are either off or have easier games. Next week will be a bit of a ramp-up, and then we get Rivalry Week in week 14, as almost every top program will play their fiercest rivals.
But that’s not for two weeks, and while we don’t have many big games this week, the schedule isn’t...
If there’s a silver lining in this otherwise disappointing season for the New York Giants it’s their recent draft class.
General manager Joe Schoen has taken a lot of heat for the manner in which he’s handled personnel in his three seasons here but one has to give him a pat on the back for his recent performance at the draft table.
The Giants added a top wide receiver in Malik Nabers, talented and productive defensive backs in Tyler Nubin and Andru Phillips, a potential star at tight end in Theo Johnson, and a future special teams leader in linebacker...
What Barkley does in Philly really shouldn’t matter as the Giants try to build their own team
The biggest, most controversial, most consequential event in Joe Schoen’s three seasons as GM of the New York Giants has been not being able to reach a long-term contract agreement with Saquon Barkley. Ultimately, of course, that led to Barkley being allowed to enter free agency and finding $37.75 million worth of brotherly love from the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Barkley situation hung over the franchise for two offseasons, and will reverberate for years to come.
Current roster: Tyrone Tracy Jr., Devin Singletary,...
The New York Giants are currently in line to select second overall in the 2025 NFL draft and will likely be in a position to draft a top quarterback.
If they plan on taking Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur, they might want to make sure Papa approves first.
The younger Sanders is high on the list of eligible quarterbacks in next year’s draft class. He plays at the University of Colorado where his Hall of Fame dad is the head coach.
If the “wrong team” selects Shadeur, Deion appears to be ready to put his thumb on the scale and steer...
Everyone is taking swipes at the New York Giants these days it seems from all walks of life across the country.
This week, legendary sitcom icon and standup comedian Jerry Seinfeld made reference to the Giants’ woes on a surprise call to the New York sports radio station, WFAN.
Seinfeld called into the station after the show’s producer, Paul Rosenberg, shaded the enduring sitcom in a conversation with host Chris McMonigle.
From the New York Post:
*The legendary comedian was apparently listening to the sports talk radio network when Rosenberg took a jab at his sitcom, “Seinfeld,” after McMonigle...
Let’s go back to 1983 and judge Young the same way we are now judging Joe Schoen
At Joe Schoen’s bye week presser he answered affirmatively when asked if he expected to be brought back next season. He also claimed “We’re not far off”.
Giants’ Twitter and several of the Giants’ beat writers have been, shall we say, skeptical of these answers. Ed Valentine polled the Big Blue View community on the first of these questions and got a solid if not landslide endorsement of Schoen from you:
As bad as some of you think you have it being Giants...
The mail’s here!
Vincent Moody asks: The Giants flame out this season and end with a top draft pick. They fire Dabs. Draft Shedeur and hire Deion Sanders as coach?
Ed says: No. Vincent, I would be surprised if John Mara signed off on drafting Shedeur Sanders because of the Prime Time presence I think could loom over whatever team drafts him.
Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll have shown a willingness to deal with big personalities like Kayvon Thibodeaux and Malik Nabers. If they like Sanders enough and think they can deal with the distractions his father would inevitably bring...
New York Giants news for Saturday
Good morning, New York Giants fans!
The Giants moved Jermaine Eluemunor to left tackle and had former first-round pick Evan Neal start at right tackle for the first time this season. Neal put forth an encouraging performance in...
