The New York Giants were ecstatic to land Miami tackle Francis Mauigoa 10th overall in the 2026 NFL draft.
The Giants wanted the big mauler to add size and physicality to their offensive line. They got their wish, and Mauigoa has already come in with the mentality of a leader.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Undrafted free agent Dominic Zvada put down the first marker of the New York Giants’ three-way placekicking competition during Saturday’s rookie minicamp practice. Zvada went 5 of 5 on field-goal attempts, the last two coming from 50 and 55 yards, to conclude the workout.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that while he has had “three or four” conversations with Odell Beckham Jr. over the past week, no deal between the team and the Giants’ 2014 first-round draft pick is imminent.
“The goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be,” Harbaugh said. “Then we’ll see where we’re at at that time.”

Defensive tackle Elijah Chatman, linebacker Swayze Bozeman, and wide receiver Courtney Jackson were awarded to new teams on waivers Friday. Chatman was claimed by the Cleveland Browns, Bozeman** by the Cincinnati Bengals**, and Jackson by the Tennessee Titans.

A team drafts a player, nurtures and develops him, and then is forced to let him go because of money and cap concerns. As a fan I find that frustrating. One of my favorite players was Robinson and he was let go because of money. Constantly losing drafted players cause unnecessary roster churn and might prevent some teams from getting over the hump.
