It’s only been one game, but so far New York Giants fans are happy with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
The Giants made the decision to turn the keys to the offense over to Dart earlier than expected, with the making the move in advance of their Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. At the time, the Giants were 0-3 and preparing to go against a 3-0 team boasting one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Unsurprisingly, Dart was widely expected to struggle. And yet, the rookie didn’t struggle, nor did he panic or look overwhelmed.

New York Giants star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence was held out of practice for a third straight day on Friday due to illness. Giants head coach Brian Daboll, though, expects Lawrence to be available Sunday when the Giants face the New Orleans Saints.
“I think he’s kind of getting over it right now,” Daboll said. We won’t practice him today, but he’s done a little bit inside with the trainers. We’re going to bring him out here. He should be good to go.“

The New York Giants travel to New Orleans to face the 0-4 Saints this week. The Saints had a respectable loss in Buffalo against Josh Allen and the Bills, 31-19. It was a three-point game midway through the fourth quarter before the Bills finished the job.
