Dolphins announce jersey numbers for rookie class

The Miami Dolphins will welcome their rookie class from the 2026 NFL Draft to the team’s facility on Friday and Saturday (May 8th and 9th) for rookie minicamp — but before they do, the team announced jersey numbers for all 13 draft picks on Thursday evening.

Miami’s first round pick — offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor — will wear #74. Let’s hope he has more luck in that number than the last guy who wore it — the much maligned Liam Eichenberg.

After the departures of wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, two rookies find themselves in the vacated jersey...

Miami Dolphins Discussion: What Does He Have To Do Edition

Miami Dolphins Discussion: What Does He Have To Do Edition

One of the bigger surprises of the 2026 NFL free agency period was our Miami Dolphins signing Malik Willis to a three-year, $67.5 million-a-year deal. The surprise does not come from the fact that a team that had already signaled it was going to move away from its previous starting quarterback might be interested in the player widely considered the top free-agent quarterback available, especially given the new front office and coaching staff’s familiarity with him. The presumed amounts that Willis would demand on the open market ranged from 20 million per year to 40 million. The assumption was that...

Kenneth Grant changes number following rookie season with Dolphins

While new Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan just finished stocking the team’s closet with all new players during his first draft as the leader of Miami’s front office, the final first-round pick of the Chris Grier tenure has decided that his game-day wardrobe could use some sprucing up as well.

Dolphins defensive tackle Kenneth Grant — the 13th overall selection in the first-round of the 2025 NFL Draft — has officially changed his jersey number. He’s ditching the #90 kit in exchange for #78 — formerly worn by failed offensive line experiment James Daniels. Grant is returning to his college...

Position battles to watch – The Splash Zone 5/6/26

Position battles to watch – The Splash Zone 5/6/26

The Miami Dolphins have added plenty of new players to their roster and Jeff Hafley has stressed how important competition is. With all these new faces, there are going to be plenty of position battles to watch over the summer. The Dolphins have plenty of bodies in the cornerbacks room, but who are going to be the top guys? Chris Johnson looks to be one of those guys after being drafted in the first round two weeks ago. While linebacker wasn’t a huge need, Jon-Eric Sullivan added two rookies in Jacob Rodriguez and Kyle Louis. Rodriguez has the best shot...

As with every draft class, this year’s Miami Dolphins class has its highs and lows in each individual fan’s eyes. Every pick seems to have its supporters and detractors. Which of us is correct will only be known after we see what each of these players brings to the table over the next 2/3 seasons.

  • Round 1 • Pick 12 (12) • OT Kadyn Proctor
  • Round 1 • Pick 27 (27) • CB Chris Johnson

Jeff Hafley confirms Dolphins would have taken Kadyn Proctor even if team hadn’t traded down

The Miami Dolphins made a trade with the Dallas Cowboys during the first day of the 2026 NFL Draft that saw Miami move back just one spot — from #11 to #12 — picking up two additional fifth round picks in the process. Dallas would go on to take safety Caleb Downs from Ohio State while Miami nabbed offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor from Alabama.

But what if the Dolphins had stayed at pick #11 in the draft? Would the outcome have remained the same?

According to new Dolphins head coach, Jeff Hafley, the answer is yes.

Speaking with former NFL...

Dolphins face one of the hardest schedules in 2026

Dolphins face one of the hardest schedules in 2026

The Miami Dolphins will probably not be very good in 2026.

The team is entering a full-scale rebuild for the first time since 2019. The roster is thin in a number of areas, with many key veterans departing via free agency or trades. Couple that with a rookie head coach and rookie general manager, and the organization isn’t exactly set up to succeed next season.

If all that wasn’t enough, the Dolphins officially have the 2nd-hardest schedule in the NFL, behind only the Arizona Cardinals. Contrary to popular belief, strength-of-schedule is not calculated by looking at win-loss total from the...

How the Dolphins and Cowboys draft day trade went down – The Splash Zone 5/5/26

How the Dolphins and Cowboys draft day trade went down – The Splash Zone 5/5/26

We got a behind the scenes look at how the trade between the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys went down during the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Cowboys traded up one spot to select Caleb Downs while the Dolphins ended up with two fifth round picks. Initially it was only going to be one fifth round pick and the clip shows that Miami was going to stay put. The Dolphins ended up selecting Kadyn Proctor and it sounds like he was going to be the pick over Downs anyway. But Dallas coveted Downs enough to add that...

The Miami Dolphins added 13 new players to their roster during the 2026 NFL Draft — with many more being signed as undrafted free agents. On Monday, the overhaul of Miami’s roster continued with the release of 7 members of their roster.

  • Jason Maitre – CB
  • Derrick McLendon – EDGE

Miami Dolphins post-draft 2026 depth chart update

The 2026 NFL Draft is now a week in the mirror, with the Miami Dolphins adding 13 new rookies over the three-day, seven-round selection meeting. It was a huge draft haul for the Dolphins, who made the most selections in this year’s draft, and it kick-starts the franchise rebuild that began with the hiring of new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and new head coach Jeff Hafley.

How do the 13 rookies fit into Miami’s depth chart? We last took a look at the Dolphins’ depth chart during free agency, so it is time to update it with the new rookies:...
